That is what happens when you fight a pure boxer like Rigo. Donaire is good... but he's making himself look like a jackass.
BTW, I like how you are quoting about testing when the person you are defending has the balls to test year round. manny could learn something from him.Comment

U say Donaire pressured YET he managed to throw less shots, land less shots at lower connect percentage. How do you explain that?I was tellin' ya'll after the fight. I don't know what fight you Rigo fans were watching. Donaire applied the pressure, showed good defense and got the knockdown. He won that fight even by a slight margin. You can't win a fight by running. If Donaire wasn't pressuring would Rigo be running? No. That means Donaire had the better ring generalship.
Rigo made Donaire fight his fight, by dictating the pace of the fight. By making Donaire chase he was able to land the counter punches at will all night. That's what you call ring generalship.
BTW he was landing most of the lead shots too, especially his own lead right hook which completely neutralised Doniares signature left hook.

I like Donaire but on my card he lost by 4 points.
After the knockdown he was 2 points behind but lost the last 2 to make 4.
When Rigo was down he should have gone for the finish rather than following him in straight lines and not punchingComment

he threw more jabs, that's it
anyway, most fighters make excuses and it shouldn't bother anyone, if he gives himself excuses it usually means he's not broken and will train harder next time, although sometimes a fighter will come out too aggressive their next fight trying to prove a point
never understood why this post-fight excuses influence people so much, never gets to me, aslong as the guy didn't do some run and hug or quit for no real reason or sommethin shameful i couldn't care less and will continue to look foward to their next fight as a fanLast edited by SplitSecond; 04-16-2013, 07:34 AM.Comment

What he calls pressure basically means walking forward getting socked in the face. See the Martinez vs Chavez fight for further examples of this so called pressure.U say Donaire pressured YET he managed to throw less shots, land less shots at lower connect percentage. How do you explain that?
