I was a big Donaire fan but he is not taking this loss well at all. He says making weight hurt him when days before the fight he said the weight was not problem and he would win easily. He looked a bit fat to me and not nearly as lean as Rigo. Now he says he won a fight he so clearly lost. Goodby Donaire. I think your best days are over. Hello Rigo, a new favorite of mine.

He won that fight even by a slight margin. You can't win a fight by running. If Donaire wasn't pressuring would Rigo be running? No. That means Donaire had the better ring generalship.

It's pretty much what some commentators had said, there are many who won't appreciate what took place in this fight. Very few people like fighters that actually focus on having and executing technique and even fewer understand it when they see it.

As far as Donaire feeling like he won; you can be walking forward all you want, but if your opponent is throwing more and landing more, you aren't going to win that UNLESS you either significantly hurt him in enough rounds to get the better scores or you knock him out. This is boxing 101 and Guillermo gave him a refresher's course.
