Max motherfvucking Kellerman. Dude is a cheerleader and a nuthugger. He doesn't ask relevant questions and seems like he always has an agenda behind them. He can't conduct a post fight interview if his life depended on it. He does know his boxing history though.

Max should be a boxing historian NOT a commentator for a major network.

That said I don't think I've ever heard a more bias commentator in any sport than Max Kellerman. This guy is garbage & HBO needs to fire him.

He clearly plays favorites & does everything to prop up his favs (Donaire, Broner, Berto, Peterson, Russell jr, I can go on. & he down plays anything guys like Canelo, Khan, guerrero do.

Correct me if I'm wrong but he said something along the lines on the show that Donaire is the greatest he's ever seen? Donaire is 1 dimensional like Danny Garcia.
No. But what i am sick of is your racist ass and all your racist alts. Please. Please...STFU! :ANWOD:

Again it was the interviews that got me. Asking Rigo about being booed, offering Donaire excuses for his defeat.

In terms of bias it's obviously not just Kellerman. People often let Roy off the hook but at one stage he said that Donaire was wide open for an uppercut and "thank god" Rigo didn't throw it.

But overall I didn't think the commentary was bad on the night. They showed full appreciation for what was happening in front of them and, during the fight at least, they gave Rigo his full due.

Not really! I think he's ok tbh.

I don't like HBO commentary in general. I tune it out, don't pay any attention.

They should let Larry Merchant conduct post fight interviews. He was always brutally honest and very witty when doing post fight interviews.

I'm big on consistency. Say what you mean and don't switch it up.

In round 2 he says that he gave RD 1 to Nonito Donaire. Then in round 7 or 8 after Ledermans first reading of his scorecard and Lampley and Jones saying Donaire isn't winning any rounds, Kellerman says, "Donaire hasnt won a single round".

I think one of the problems HBO has is that sometimes Lampley and Kellerman get a little bit too excited and thus get carried away. It's times like these that they need a third party, like I dunno, Lederman? To keep them in check.

That to me explains the criticism related to their apparent "**** riding" of Rigondeaux. Yes, he was winning, but Nonito was still in the fight.

But give me enthusiastic commentators over boring, bland ones any day of the week.

What the hell are you nerds talking about? The guy was fine last night, called it like it was, same for Jim Lampley.

There was even the part in the fight when Lampley said their writers disagreed with them on the scoring and have a much closer fight, and Kellerman said Donaire hasn’t won a round or something to that affect.
