and Not trying to take away from it! This is promotion 101. This is where some hyperbole comes into play. Is there any point to putting Guillermo down the way he has? This is when you put the hype machine in full swing, not talk like it was all Nonito and nothing Guillermo did. I feel he will stall Guillermo's career like he did with Yuriorkis.

Kinda like how he did Bradley dirty after the Pac fight
If I'm Bradley and Rigo, I'm like ffffuuuuckkkk this guy and will leave the moment I can or look at a buyout -
He won't because rigo is a hard sell to the genral public. He's like trying to sell a winky wright to a casual fan. He's a p4p talent but you wont understand that if u dont know what youre watching.Comment

Winky was on PPV a few times. I do see what you're saying, but he should be using taglines like I've been reading in here haha..."Guillermo is the best boxer EVER, better than Mayweather, etc." When Bob was bringing Floyd up through the ranks he'd compare him to Ray Robinson and stuff like that.Comment

He's latino, he has an installed viewing base already. Cater him to mexicans, ricans, cubans, dominicans. He speaks spanish, get him english. He's ingrained into a boxing community. Most latinos would naturally support a fellow latino, regardless of ethnicitiy when it comes down to it. In the end, they want good fights. You give good fights, the people will come.
Winky didn't have that installed viewing public. Unfortunately, his demographic that you would naturally seek to promote in front of has moved onto other sports. Nevermind the fact that he's not a flashy personality or as you say, in the mold of a Rigo in terms of style.Comment

Bradley got boo'd ringside, anyone else notice that? I was disgusted. How long is Rigo signed on to Bob? Can't be for much longer.Comment

Maybe because there is no easy way to? I think it's more a case of Bob Arum knowing what sells and what doesn't. I suspect he's been in the business since before you were born and certainly before I was so he knows what he's talking about.
Boxing purists may love the mobile Cuban counter-puncher but he's just not going to capture the imagination of the American public.Comment
