If you are going to bet big sums of money then you should only do so on fighters that are sure things. There is no point betting on the bookies fave in a 50/50 fight.

I'm thinking of putting a G on Canelo. I just lost $300 on Donaire, so I need to make it back.
Trust me. I probably was top 5 on this site if not higher when it comes to ********. Dont ever bet something, just to make something back. Thats how they get you. It starts to become a drug. Then the next big fight that comes up, you try to be 2g's because you lost both of these bets and you need to make it up.

Just take that loss for itself. If youre smart then you will eventually make it up. If you wanna bet on this fight then thats fine but dont do it just to make up for the previous bet and definitely dont try to up the amount alot just to make up for the previous bet. You will lose out big time in the long run

A G, cause you think canelo will be too strong for Trout?? Do not do it bro. Unless you have a real base for that assumption. Which I think you do not.

To me, this is such a hard fight to call.

Not so much because of the styles, just solely because Canelo is so unproven so far. I simply don't know how he deals with a guy who's in his prime, bigger than him, fast, footspeed, reach, jab.

This fight to me, is more about learning about these fighters (more so Canelo). What they're capable of. We'll learn if he can cut off a ring effectively for example. And IF he can, then in my mind there's a good shout he wins. But what if he can't? If he can't, I don't see him winning. Canelo has to be set to throw his combinations, and unless he can effectively cut off the ring with Trout, I see him struggling.

Point being, I wouldn't go near this fight, from a betting stand point, with a barge-pole.

Admittedly I have only seen Trout fight a few times. Its a fight I'm not even sure you could really break down and get a good idea of who will win as such as both guys are largely untested.

Trout is the bigger guy, hes the better boxer or the more pure boxer should I say & more defensively responsible though he is untested for most part to my knowledge. I did pick him to decision Cotto and he won convincingly but the odd times Cotto did get through he didn't seen to like it very much. I certainly agree this fight more or less depends on can Canelo cut the ring off and can he set himself? Trout is quite slippery

Its not a fight I'd like to bet on either. Gun to my head I'd have to go with the guy who offers a return worth taking. Canelo at 1/3 - 1/4 or whatever, just doesn't offer much return.

I'll probably stay clear of this one but if at the end of the week I'm feeling quite flush and sort of fancy a little bet for the sake of it I may put £20 or something on Trout for the fun of it but to me its a 50/50 and a horrible fight to try call.

Of all the fights to pick to lump on, don't choose this one.

                Just make a couple good single bets;

                Trout PTS 3/1
                Draw 18/1

Now I thought Donaire-Rigondeaux's draw odds off 22/1 was low, but this is even lower - would be worth a punt. The value lies with Trout on this one unless you go with an Alvarez stoppage.

Try waiting for the props to open up.. way better odds IMO I would put on a safer bet, like the fight is going the distance. I feel Canelo wins this fight but instead of just picking Canelo, I'm picking Canelo to win by 12 decesion only...for a higher payout....Good luck...

IMO, if OP is on the edge, the over seems pretty good.

I personally think Trout will win but it is a very close/difficult fight to pick, so even if i thought Canelo had the edge i wouldnt bet on him because he is too much of a favourite.

Might be a good idea to post in the Real Money Bet Thread floating around NSB, Johnm, Dan_Cov, D_MiZe and a few others seem like very experienced boxing gamblers and can help you get the best value out of bets.
