None of you are getting any of that money, why are fans so focused on Ticket Sales, PPV Buy and all that other stuff as if your getting a check from how well your favorite fighter sales

    Rigondeaux will be fine!
You totally missed or chose to ignore the point. I couldn't care less about what a fighter makes. Just remember its a business and there are marketability issues. Just like everything.

Cuban fighters don't have an ethnic fanbase to hold them up like Mexican or Filipino fighters do. There are many Cubans in America, but they do not support Cuban fighters like the aforementioned nationalities do. The black-Cuban, white-Cuban thing plays a part of it.

None the less, he is the better fighter and he is the one that deserves the belts. Period.

If the people don't like Boxing and just want to see blood, they can go watch MMA. The more entertaining fighters in boxing will sell more, but there's nothing wrong with that either.

I think Rigondeaux will become more open and fight more like a pro as time goes on.

I hate the pretentiousness of boxing fans. Rigo is obviously a great fighter, but it was just a boring fight to watch for most. That doesn't make anyone less of a boxing fan because they weren't entertained by it.

Rigondeaux will be fine! If a new opponent emerges that will become a big fight regardless of Rigo style, Mares vs Rigondeaux would be a pretty big fight but the problem will be finding quality OPPONENTS for Rigondeaux,
There are always new fighters that emerge in every division.

He will have plenty of competition at 122.

Few fighters under 135 were ever a big seller. And at 135, I can only think of Oscar De La Hoya off the top of my head, who sold 200-350k PPV's against Ruelas and Hernandez, and Pacquiao vs Diaz. So Rigondeaux not being a big ticket seller/popular guy at 122, means absolutely nothing. Donaire is as popular as you can get for the small divisions, and you can find plenty of casuals who have never even heard of him.

You have very few exceptions like Pacquiao vs Morales trilogy [Around 300k each], Pacquiao-Barrera II [350k], Marquez vs Pacquiao II at 130 [400k]
            Marquez-Barrera at 130 [230k]
Naseem Hamed was a huge ticket seller.

But that is where it stops.

My Reply wasn't really direct at you personally, that was directed at "Today's Boxing Fans" IN GENERAL who seems to focus more on how much fighters make outside of then ring and they choose to be fans based on that more so then their skills IN THE RING

Yes but what I'm referring to the most is his style. Not very fan friendly. You have "hardcore boxing fans" in here calling it a boring fight. And I witnessed a few Cubans falling asleep on the fight too. You won't see that with Mexican , Pinoy , Rican or American fighters.

I genuinely did not find it boring, genuinely. It was seriously a great fight and great performance. There is nothing to pretend about it. I feel for any one who did not enjoy the fight, but I thoroughly enjoyed all but maybe 2-3 rounds where Rignodeaux did a bit of running. I wholeheartedly enjoyed that fight and have added it to my very small collection of fights. I don't have much space in my PC, so i'm picky with which fights I download to re-watch and keep.

Especially since I gave the edge to Donaire, so the fight naturally had that surprise factor to it for many fans who liked Rigondeaux, and disliked Donaire, but still thought Donaire was going to win.
