It is a french name, so no way it is pronounced like that. And if Rigo really told Atlas to pronounce it like that, then only to make it sound more american (because he wants the american audience to connect with him somehow).
Same with "Lemieux" (David Lemieux): no french guy would pronounce that name the way english commentators do.

I don't see any grammatical mistakes in my sentences. But your sentence could use a "a" before the word "proper".

at 1.11 of the video above, he pronounces his own name like that.

Now unless you know better than the man himself whose name it is then methinks this thread is a horrendous failure.

        Good day, sir.

The correct way is Rigondoe... Any French speaking person will tell you that.

okay so how about that: Rigo is a spanish speaking person with a french name. And therefore he pronounces his name in a weird, spanish/english way. But let me tell you something: go to ANY person in your real life environment who speaks french, and then show them a piece of paper on which you wrote down the name "Guillermo Rigondeaux" and tell him/her to pronounce that name (in french); and I guarantee you you will be very surprised what this french name REALLY sounds like when spoken in french.

Jim Lampley has pronounced it: "RigginDow" in the past, now he says it: "Riggindough"

They should have Michael Buffer pronounce it different ways during the in-ring intros:

"AAaand in the corner to my left .... wearing blah, blah, blah ... hailing from Santiago De Cuba ... two time Olympic gold medalist .... blah, blah, blah ... Guillermo "El Chacaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal" Rigond-eeee -owww!!!! Also known as Riggon-doooooghh!!!! Also known as Rigggon-dooowww!!!!"
