HBO has good shows as does Showtime, GoT and Boardwalk Empire are sick. Dexter is my **** on Showtime though and like someone said just buy both...

Schaefer is too smart to know that getting booted off of HBO is a bad thing, GBP got way too greedy. They already had exclusivity on Showtime and had a majority of HBO's budget. Showtime already picked up Mayweathers tab, and I promise you showtime/CBS is not willing to spend much more now. Berto getting paid 1.5 million to like 500 people paying $20 is not going to fly and Showtime probably just told him this after HBO told him to **** off. On top of that he acts like HBO are the bad guys? WTF if it wasn't for HBO you'd be my teller at Wells Fargo you dumb mother ****er they MADE you.

HBO actually tries to do what is best for boxing, I don't see showtime putting something like "the Fight Game" on. HBO has even given credit to showtime fighters and admits they can't get video because Showtime doesn't want free exposure on HBO for some ****** reason. Don't get me wrong HBO wants to make money too but without ruining the sport and giving us Broner/Reese and JMW vs JWW.

He's in that business, what's wrong with you? He's game, takes his knocks, rarely complains, nearly always has someting cerebral and interesting to say. look at the fighters he's promoted, the greatest in their eras, and all became celebrities. It was he who finally pushed Don King into comparative obscurity, for which we should all be very thankful.

And Ii can't forget what he did for Gennaro Hernandez and his family for so many years. He has my respect.
I'm not bitter towards Arum. I just know how the business works. Arum and GBP can both be guilty of sticking the middle finger to the fans. In fact I am not bitter towards either side. I just know both have giant egos. I actually respect how Arum at least does not hide his true colors. He speaks his mind. He is no more guilty than anyone else. GBP on the other hand put out some fake act like they are in it for the betterment of the sport, when in fact they have been actively trying to corner and control it on the whole.

I like game of thrones. It's a good show. I would watch Dexter and Homeland over it any day though. Nothing ever happens in Game of Thrones. It's so anticlimactic, and if I had to chose 3 good shows over 1 good show I would choose the 3.

Showtime doesn't have as good as movies, but it's already been said. If you area boxing fan then have both and watch the fights. I'm not sure why people are making this such a big deal and taking sides. Would you not watch boxing if all the big fights went onto CBS? Which owns Showtime.

It's an absurd feud. Do you only watch the NBA on TNT?Do you only watch the NFL on ESPN. WHy don't you guys STFU and watch some boxing.
I only watch SHO for the boxing and I've never seen a promo or overheard anyone talking about those shows. I'm not sure if these shows are good or bad

You can make the comparison between HBO's programming vs SHO programs just like you can compare their boxing programs

HBO has the better past shows (Sopranos, The Wire) and current Shows (GoT Curb your enthusiasm) than SHO past shows (???) and current shows (Shameless, Homeland apparently)

I'm just saying HBO has and will always be better than SHO in boxing and original shows

the fights were on mexican independence day so the real choice was between canelo and chavez jr. it was better to go with the mexican who was also a draw and in a legitimate fight that fans wanted to see than a mismatch with a blown up 140lber.

You'll get stars if you give them a stage to shine.

I didn't know who Provodnikov was until Bradley fight, now I want to see more of him.

Nobody knew Danny Garcia until he knocked Khan the **** out, nobody knew Lopez until he broke Ortiz's jaw. All I'm saying is if no one sees it, no one will know, being on HBO gives you that exposure. HBO still has that *it* factor when it comes to boxing. We'll see what happens.

Still sucks for the sport and for the fighters.

GBP tried to strong-arm HBO into kicking TOP RANK into oblivion and it didnt work... they had showtime but wanted HBO in their back pocket too and leave TOP RANK with nothing... they ****ed up on the whole canelo and jc jr deal, otherwise it started looking like both showtime and hbo were favoring GBP over TR for a while... i have both show and hbo... HBO boxing is on my DVR to automatically record every saturday fight, showtime isnt... thats the difference. the devoted boxing fan will watch both networks, however these promoters, i assume are smart enough, that they need the attention of the "casual" fan to make it big and thats where HBO HAS what SHOW doesnt. when the casual fan thinks boxing, they think HBO. i asked my dad, hows 64 and likes sports in general, "what he thinks when i say boxing" he said "HBO"....

What I was on about was that out of "nowhere' you called Arum a snake. I've seen the same term used for him by others who reviled him unmercifully, and for no obvious reason. I was taken aback by the ad hominem atttack on his person as I hadn't seen anything which deserved it, and you looked like one of the guys hooked on the habit Sorry if I was wrong..

You may not know, but until lately, I've been almost the single poster who has abything good to say about him. I don't know him any more than you do, but I am a sportsman and got so sick of reading all the filth and death wishes and things just too disgusting to repeat. They don't belong on this site but on the toilet wall in a thugs hangout..

I'm well aware the he and his wife have founded charities, and are major contribuors to many others. And what he did for Gennaro Hernandez and family cannot be measured in money.
