the win against lee was a good win. chavez detractors picked against him but it was hardly most experts picking lee to win. still a good win for JR

Martinez walked him down and dominated. What a beast.
You really believe that? And you keep saying over and over again that, "you know boxing." I have to ask who are trying to convince, possibly yourself? Because you are not doing a very good job of convincing the rest of us on your knowledge of boxing. I also believe it got worse with you spouting off about Bhop.

On that note, let me make myself perfectly clear by saying that I cannot stand Hopkins. I believe he is a dirty and boring fighter. But to say that he is a cherry picker is beyond ridiculous. For one he is pushing 50 years old and in his last 15 fights over the last ten years 13 of the fighters have been legit Ring top ten fighters. Well, maybe Jones was no longer that legit but he was still ranked rather high when Bhop fought him the second time.

With that said just maybe I owe you an apology. Because you may have been right. Hopkins was in fact cherry picking. But, it was not as you see it. Simply because he was picking highly ranked fighters, and not just ranked alphabet boy opponents, and beating most of them in the process.

And as I have already stated I don't care for him. But. come on man that is a pretty incredible accomplishment for an old man to pull off. An accomplishment that cannot and should not be ignored by any true boxing fan regardless of how you feel about Bhop personally.

          "The betting odds reflect hype"

So this means all the hype was on Chavez to win. You specifically stated that "most people " thought Chavez would lose. How can this be if all the "hype" and betting money was on Chavez?

Again you don't know what you're talking about.

Prepare for the "You dont even believe your own words". I could care less about betting odds, You could care less about them as well". This thread is looking like the first 11 rounds of Sergio-Chavez, Murkaman being Chavez of course

why did chavez get so much credit for beating lee then?after the lee fight the majority of people started to believe chavez could actually pressent problems for martinez.the chavez lee fight was pretty much a pick em fight by most

Golovkins style fits even better to the pros than the ams IMO. Hes not your typical amateur guy who throws feather-fisted flurries just to get points. And his power is much more effective too in the pro game because of smaller gloves and no head gear.

This is one of the dumbest threads I've ever read. Can't say it's not interesting, though.

Anyway, it's likely that Golovkin is going to fight Macklin next, so we'll see whether the fellatio on Golovkin is warranted. Macklin is a pretty good fighter.

But Martinez probably owns Golovkin. I'm not saying that Golovkin has no skill or power, but speed kills.

I never said Bhop had an unimpressive resume. Bhop has a GREAT legacy. But he DID carefully structure his resume. That is a FACT. Not saying he's a hypejob, or a fake. Just saying he doesnt wrecklessly fight the best. He carefully picks legitamate opponents to fight. Opposed to a fighter who wrecklessly picks ANYONE to fight. Bhop has a great legacy, FACT.
