GGG is probably better known then Quillin right now, so it would be a good scalp and name to get on his resume if he thinks he can beat GGG.

The rest of the birds at 160 are running from this cat, they make sure to get hooked into another opponent or involved in negotiations as fast as possible.

    Top 20

    Martinez
    Geale
    GGG
    Quillin
    Soliman
    Chavez Jr
    Macklin
    Pirog
    Rubio
    Murray
    Barker
    Lee
    Vera
    N'Dam
    Adama
    Kocheny
    Mundine
    Bursak
    Lemieux

One of these guys has to find their dancing shoes, surely?
Quillin showed a lack of interest even before the HBO/GBP split happened, you know, GGG needs to build up his name like Pete did, on SHO undercards. It's a moot point now, GBP fighters not welcome on HBO.

Thats the funny thing, you hear these guys muttering "he needs to build his names", but Golovkin would be the A- side in most of the matchups minus guys like Chavez, Sergio and Sturm

I would like to see Golovkin fight on HBO next, but should HBO be buying any of these fights?

GGG just has to clear his way to the top. He's gonna have to corner these guys that don't want to fight him. Fighting 5 times this year, he'll be getting there.

HBO has only bought 1 Golovkin card and that was Golovkin-Pirog. He was got injured so Proksa replaced him.

The Rosado fight was on the undercard of Garcia-Salido which actually had more viewers then the main event.

I'm not talking about his past fights. I'm talking about HBO buying a fight with the options in the poll.

He's supposed to headline next, but with these guys?

none of those four fights seem like good ideas.
what about a fight with Pirog? or N'Jikam? or Thomas Oosthiuzen at 168? Plenty of decent fights out there that are better than the Rosados and Ishidas of the world

What can they do? Sit him down and wait until one of those guys grows a pair? He has shown decent numbers against rather unknown guys, so he will be on an HBO card. We dont know if it will be a main event or not as well but HBO buys much worse cards

Sit him down? HBO isn't Golovkin's promoter. They don't have an obligation to buy all his fights. He can fight on ESPN. HBO has bought worst, but it doesn't mean they should keep on doing it.

An undercard would be fine I guess, but all indication was that Golovkin would headline. And with Macklin supposedly fighting a tuneup on the undercard, the whole thing would be crap.

i feel bad for golovkin...guy has all this talent and potential but it will be wasted on mediocre opposition because none of the top guys in the division want to fight him...damn shame.
