So you think a guy who lost to Kerry Hope should be ranked in the top 10? Proksa needed 20 rounds to beat Hope, Barker finished the guy in less than 5 rounds after coming off a long layoff w/hardly a hand laid on him.

Oh man. Until now I had never looked into his record. Yeesh. Thinnest record for a so-called contender I've seen in a while.

Did you see Proksa Hope? He won pretty clear with gruesome cuts under both eyes for 10 rounds. BLH had it 117-110 for Proksa:

            Yea and didn't beat
Not so different from the way 3G obtained his high MW ranking by beating a barely top 10 ranked Proksa (if he was even ranked in the top 10), a #10 ranked lmw moving up, and a 37 year old career lmw journeyman coming off of two straight losses contemplating retirement pre-fight.
Golovkin won fights, Murray didnt. ALso Ishida has been at MW for 3 years and his last 5 fights, again
I do see the comparison although I would rather error on the side of Martinez' opponent than Golovkins' because at least he is a mw who has ben fighting mw's. I guess any of the other 15 top 25 mw's had excuses not to face him and you could provide that evidence which should be readily available.
Yea but he's also avoided better MWs, prime example is Golovkin. And no Murray is not better then Golovkin

Sylvester was shot and was never any good to begin with. Hope exposed Proksa in their two fights well before GGG got to him.

You give Murray and MAcklin the Sturm fights but not that bull**** decision in the Hope fight? If you actually watched it, you know he beat him

It was a close competitive fight, that was the common consensus if you look at the comments under the article. Proksa looked like a punching bag in both fights against a jouneyman who only had 1 KO in his record.

Shot in what way? Because Proksa beat his ass? He had lost to Gaele and before that defended his title 5 times including against Giovanni Lorenzo and Karmazin

You watch this fight and tell me Proksa doesn't look like a journeyman at best. Hope (17-3, 1KO) legitimately won a lot of rounds and it was a close competitive fight where Proksa looked like a punching bag, much like he did in the rematch.
