I see Scott scored it wide, doubt he's off by 7 points. Plus I know what I saw. Regardless, not saying he's a great opponent, remember he was a late sub. But he does have a win over a top 10 opponent, unlike Murray who's yet to beat a top 30 guy

      • Although I praised him for the way he beat Ishida because it really exceeded my expectations, I am more surprised at how much hype he is getting and how highly rated he is than the supposed "hate" he is getting. The hate in reality is more like rational fans trying tone down the loud Golovkin fans who exaggerating every Golovkin win. The attempt at toning down the hype appears to be hatred but it's really not, let the guy become bigger and get better names on his resume before listing him with Marvin Hagler and Carlos Monzon and saying this fighter and that fighter are ducking him.

Exactly, let's not jump the gun here. Let's see who he fights on his June date (more than likely a step up fight) and that will tell us more about his capabilities.

Yea he didnt look great, he still should have won that fight. Hope's headbutt caused a massive cut in the 2nd which change the pace real bad

but everyone already turned him down. you are gonna say the same thing in june when he destroys another fringe contender like don george. why doesn't he fight someone good! then we will say the same thing and it will go on forever while the cowards hide and fight martin murray or fernando guerrero.

Lol, he got a split decision robbery against Lorenzo and a robbery split decision draw with Karmazin; why do you think people always complain about German judging? Like I said Sylvester was shot and wasn't any good to begin with; size-wise was probably small enough to compete at welterweight.

Don George, Martin Murray, and Guerrero would all be major step ups for GGG (perhaps excluding the Proksa fight).

What about Curtis Stevens or Brian Vera?

Don and them seem to be the only options right now.
