No they weren't, first off he called Nishioka Chinese even though he's Japanese. By saying that he was implying all Asians look the same which is untrue. If thats not racist, then it isn't racist to call Rigondeaux Black or African because thats what he really is.

Then he implied Nishioka couldn't see because of his slanted eyes, only racist people would think that's not racist.
