So what are the chances this prevents the fight from happening?

I have to think this is a premeditated marketing ploy. Guerrero is not that ******. You can see the pro-gun comments already rolling in. They're going after middle America so they get behind the Ghost to defeat the "evil" Floyd Mayweather.

“Charges were pending,” the article said.

The New York Post, also citing anonymous sources, said Guerrero will be “charged with criminal possession of a weapon.”

“Sources say that Guerrero went to the Delta ticket counter in Terminal 2 and declared the gun to the ticket agent,” the Post article said. “As required by law, the agent called the Port Authority Police. Sources say that Guerrero's gun is legally registered in the state of California but he is not licensed to carry the weapon in New York. The gun was not loaded at the time of his arrest.” [Click Here To Read More]

too bad...that would somewhat mess up his preparation for the fight depending on the severity of his case. more advantage for floyd.

Don't know what will happen to this fight. I really don't care. It's a mismatch, anyway. Been looking forward to Canelo's fight next month and the one this week.
