No he doesnt have a license in NY, which is where he was. It doesnt matter if he wasnt a New yorker, he was in New york and when in new york, you follow new york law

i'm sure if floyd has his burner on a plane you'd feel the same.

First of all, guns do not go on a plane as a carry on. The gun would not be in Floyd's possession in the plane. Second of all, Guerrero didn't have the gun on him in a plane, he was trying to check it in. Third of all, I don't automatically think some dude is some type of criminal cause he has a gun. I have my own as I said before.

So stop trying to play victim and think.

Your comparison is not even close. How was Guerrero endangering anyone's live by actually trying to get the gun checked in that was UNLOADED? And don't even get me started on drunk drivers... Especially the ones who actually kill others.

If the story is true he will probably get 3 months or so. People need to stop looking at the individual case and focus on the wider picture. If they say ''Ahh okay Guerrero, you didn't know your permit has no relevance here'' a dangerous precedent is set whereby unscrupulous defendant's can feign ignorance when smuggling a gun inside or outside of the state.

I always thought this gun license thing was dumb. Its like saying my Florida drivers license is not valid here in VA or in NY.

If I have a driver's license it means I finished the requirements required to drive. Whether its here, there or in Texas.
