To be fair he took some massive shots at the end and he was able to hold on, however his stamina was absolutely pathetic.

I think the ropes helped him stay on his feet though. His punch resistance is still bad, but like you say, his stamina seemed to be an even bigger concern tonight.

I got thompson ko4...too many unanswered questions at this point to take price really seriously. To think people called fury a chicken. Fury said lets build the fight for a later date. Fury has wins over cunningham, chisora & kingpin. He is highly rank by the bodies & is about to fight david haye... Price is still looking to pass his first test. Tony thompson was a bad choice by maloney.

The standing 8 count lets you know that there is biased refereeing over there. Imagine if the situation were reversed does anyone really think Thompson would have received a standing 8. Cant remember the last time ive seen a standing 8 count i thought that didnt even exist anymore.

Price not only showed **** stamina as i expected but he's just too inexperienced, blasting away bums quick all the time. People should know Thompson's a tough guy having taken a lot of big shots from Wlad. I made a nice sum again tonight.

Price's main problem is his awful stamina and poor defense. After he dropped Thompson he threw a lot more punches than I'm used to seeing from him. When you're such a big guy, throwing hard punches in bunches takes a lot out of you, your arms are proportionally heavier than any other weightclass. Knocking Thompson down and trying to finish him was his downfall.

you're right, it was biased, but generally i'm in favour of refs giving standing 8s rather than immediately calling a fight off. wish it happened more often.
