    He fights nothing like Margarito!
Watch his fights before his move up. Its only recently hes fought that way and he actually started out boxing against Berto before bullying him & smothering him on the inside and not allowing him to get full leverage on his punches.

He actually got his name ''The Ghost'' because he was pretty slick and very hard to catch flush.

Here is a good highlight of Guerrero before his move up. Don't be fooled into thinking he is a brawler with a bad D.

      Hes a good, solid technician.

Obviously it's hard to tell because we're not in there but I honestly think Guererro's plan was to box Berto but once he realised he could hurt him and was better on the inside he threw his plan out the window.

I think so too. Once he sensed he hurt him he was all over him targeting that eye. As much as I dislike Berto he showed a lot of heart in that fight.

I'm not really sure tbh if Guerrero is deceivingly strong or whether Berto is a lot weaker than he appears/I was lead to believe. He really did throw Berto around like a rag doll. I was always under the impression that Berto's strength was one of his strongest assets but Guerrero appeared to manhandle him.

Its hard to gauge how good Guerrero is at welter, he had two seemingly decent wins but they're looking worse & worse especially with how Aydin got outboxed by Soto Karass, I felt he looked rubbish against Lauri too. To Karass's credit he fought smart for once.

i disagree. guerrero imo took a page from ortiz's notebook and betterd it , he stuck to that gameplan and that gameplan was to fight him on the inside ...even after the interview , it was clear that robert thought it would've been a bad idea to box him coz he said berto needed space to throw his bombs.. and he was right on the dot imo..

Possibly but he didn't come storming out the blocks and straight at him.

He started boxing and picking single shots then after he hurt him he started turning it up.

It was only the first round so it's hard to tell if that was his long term plan but he definitely was boxing up to the point he hurt him.

well , i did'nt really see guerrero change gameplan and really did'nt see a need to do so either. i think he knew to box him was too dangerous and would give berto a better chance to be more effective.

gotta admit , idid'nt expect him to fight berto like he did coz of the aydin fight where he looked like ****.
