  • Will Floyd Look Better Against Guerrero Than He Did Against Cotto?

I was having a debate with some people as to how Floyd will look against Guerrero in comparison to Cotto last May. Though Floyd dominated most of the fight, he did have trouble with Cotto. But was it all Cotto or was it also Floyd not being the Floyd of old? I'm of the opinion that he may struggle and Guerrero will get shots in, but Floyd will still some what dominate.

Does anyone think he will have a tougher time against Guerrero?

I could see Guererro winning as many rounds as Cotto but I don't seem him doing the damage Cotto did.

The only way the Ghost does anywhere near as good as Cotto is if Floyd continues to get older but at a heavy progress.

The only reason why that happened to Floyd against Cotto is that Floyd had been so use to waking guys down now and feeling so strong that he thought he could do that to Cotto. He fought Cotto's fight and it looked great for about 4 rounds until Cotto proved that he was the bigger stronger, lower to the ground man.

Ghost cant do that. He can box but he cant outbox Floyd. He can go toe to toe & bully but Floyd is not Berto and Ghost is not Cotto. Its 2 differnet levels of strength. I think Floyd destroys him unless he gets even more old looking.

Ive been saying this to everyone I think the first round guerrero is gonna come out throwing bombs while floyd trys to find range and get his timing. I wouldnt be surprised to see a flash knockdown of Floyd in the 1st or second. Once he gets up hes going to embarass Guerrero for the rest of the fight especially at 147.

I don't think so man, for real. Guerrero got the stamina and can make it rougher than Cotto did. Guerrero also got reach and size.

I feel it will be more competitive. Guerrero has more tools than Cotto, he's a southpaw that uses angles & he will take more risks.

When watching Floyd vs Cotto live I was under the impression it was quite competitive after watching again it really wasn't as competitive as I initially thought.

I've said for years, Guerrero is underrated & no matter the outcome of this fight, I stand by that.

The cotto fight Floyd was sick. It was obvious when all the writers said he sounded sick and then fighthype put the video outbof him talking about his whole career and sparring whitaker. Its hard enough for most people to get out of bed when theyre sick this guy had to box Cotto

I think Guerrero will be either equally or put up a better effort than Cotto. He has some things Cotto didn't have. Youth, lefty, height, reach, prime fighter. Floyd is also one year older and his last fight was Cotto, no tune ups or anything. I think That if Floyd keeps that up at his advanced age, nearly 40 years old, that will hurt him against these young guys who are active.

and how is that a myth again? Cotto started at 140. At 140 he use to come in the ring at like 157 sometimes. I actually felt that he won some fights at 140 strictly because he was too big for the guys to beat. I thought both Chop & Torres couldve beat him if not for that. Maybe even Paulie too
