at 147 i wouldn't pick whitaker to beat floyd mayweather. i'd only give him a shot at 135.

duran is an odd case. if he shows up at his very best he could very well beat floyd at whichever weight, obviously with 135 being his best.

i actually figured out that you were specifically talking about reflexes after reading my own post [the one to which you were replying.] i agree, whitaker had better reflexes.


i'd say that duran had more natural fighting instincts, but his reflexes were slower. even with the slower reflexes (and hands, lets be real,) he was better at firing back with punches that meant something.


i still think that floyd mayweather has better reflexes than either.

Exactly, case in point is SSM. Cherry picked SSM after SSM beat Margarito, as if SSM coming off of a win salvages everything. We are supposed to ignore that SSM wasnt a world beater or considered anything much at that point before beating Margarito. We are supposed to kiss Floyds backside cos SSM beat Margarito.

Holyfield didnt get his ass kissed after beating Buster Douglas, even though Douglas beat Tyson. So why should people rave about Floyd beating old man SSM who wasnt even that good at that point.
Floyd fights and does so little, the least he could do was fight SSM coming off of a win. Not asking too much is it?

The greatest ever who had to retire twice and make up numerous excuses to avoid top challengers just to make it to a few fights over 40 undefeated. Others fought every other week in 15 rounders and didn't lose until they had 100 fights.
