Floyd isnt the greatest ever, but i would definitely out him in the top ten best technicians of all time. Love him or hate him, putting everything else aside, Floyd is a truly amazing fighter who can do things in the ring on the level of a ray robinson or ezzard charles, willie pep etc. No he doesn't rank as high historically because those guys just fought in such a deep era under such harder circumstances, Floyd just cant be considered quite as great.

I agree, he is very talented and extremely technical but he lacks the heart and true confidence to challenge himself like those greats did. Floyd played this magician role using opportunistic time frames and clever excuse making concepts to conveniently sidestep the fights that people wanted to see.

I think him taking this Guerrero fight will prove to be a mistake for him though. He sees a pudgy, slow, make-shift welter who hs a good record that he can "expose" in the ring. I think he will prepare for the Guerrero that fought Berto and that style and he will walk into a a fight with a guy that will stick him up with a long jab in his face all night.

Guerrero has already made references to Floyd's size and the need to have several game plans. Ghost will confuse him by boxing and then turning on the pressure and heat periodically to confuse and discourage Floyd as the fight progresses. I think this may be Floyd's last fight if he either loses or gets hurt in this one.

I wouldn't call him the greatest ever but his technical skills and boxing intelligence are off the charts. There's no denying that.

Sugar Ray Robinson at welterweight is supposed to have been the purest boxer that anyone has ever seen before or since. Unfortunately no film exists of him at that weight.

He is not even near being the greatest ever, its an insult to so many other fighters to say so.

God this guy. Floyd is one of the best of his generation but also a dissapointment because he really did avoid fighters, im not saying he isn't capable of beating a bunch of the atg but we all wanted to see him fight pacman when pacman was seen as number one or two p4p but him and pacman gave us some BS and the fight never came to be. Floyd is good but best of all time no thomas hearns but have beat him

                a film study to......WHAT?

oh my, this is great news to me....

a film study to prove floyd to be the goat!!!!...

floyd is a great fighter...but not the goat....

no amount of film study will make him the goat...

floyd is the ONE who can make himself the goat if he wishes to and if he has the heart to achieve it....not a film study

If he gets dropped by gurrero, it will be possibly the most embarrassing thing in boxing history.

He's not even the greatest in a decade, in order to become the greatest he would have to first be the greatest in a decade first .

                    • Reminds me of all the people who used to say RJJr. was the greatest of all time back when he was undefeated.

Prime for prime I still say RJJr. is greater than Floyd.

Neither are greater than SRR though.
