Many boxing fans also fail to realize that many boxers fight for peanuts until they are on the big stage. Now while the superstars of boxing make WAY more than the superstars of UFC, the undercard fighters in both sports make very little money. After making million dollar paydays, a guy like Kelly Pavlik was offered just $50k for his comeback fight. I remember Zab Judah fighting for just $15k.Comment

The UFC are a bloodsucking corrupt sanctioning body. They are a greedy corrupt rival promoter preventing big fights from happening because they prefer to do in-house fights.
UFC is not a sport, its called MMA and there are MANY champs per division, but these are promotional champs. Imagine a Top Ranks or Golden Boy champion
You have to be contracted under UFC to be a champ or even fight a UFC fighter. This is much worse then the way boxing is runComment

If I'm not mistaken, the other other major MMA organization is Strikeforce which is a good organization in itself. My point is, not every mma fighter around the world is going to be able to fight in the same organization but as long as those within each organization are fighting each other without the ducking drama and politics that happen in boxing, those fans are happy!Comment

Oh ok. So basically there's UFC then there's just small venue independent mma events.
Actually there's Bellator. They put on some pretty decent cards and have some fights tonight. As a matter of fact, if you click the bellator link at the top of this page, they are streaming the fights live as we speak.Last edited by Deevel916; 03-21-2013, 06:52 PM.Comment

from a fans perspective i understand what you are saying but ask a lot of fighters how well run the ufc really is. i think the biggest difference is in boxing fighters see roughly some where from 70-80% of the revenue from an event where as in ufc it is estimated the fighters see 10-15% of the revenueComment
