GSP vs. Silva is like asking for Floyd vs. Ward. It's a huge difference in size.

Fedor vs. X is also silly. Fedor was never in the UFC and he turned down the biggest mma contract of all time out of principle.

Aldo vs. Edgar was a superfight.
    Penn vs. GSP also was.

The superfights in boxing are between fighters of the same weightclass. Under a UFC type monopoly we would NEVER fail to see Martinez vs. GGG, Floyd vs. Pac etc etc etc.

Did you also see Diaz **** on Noons in their rematch?

Did you see Kimbo strangle Mercer?

Did you see Couture play with Toney?

This discussion is so juvenile and ******ed. It's two different sports. You don't need worldclass boxing to be the best at fighting. You need to be good at everything.

If i throw you on the ground no boxing in the world can save you.

Boxing is a sport. MMA is a sport. UFC is a company. Top Rank is a company. Dana can do whatever he wants with his company just like Arum does whatever he wants with his. Can't compare UFC to boxing.

but ufc is run a hell of a lot better but like someone suggested boxing would do better with a tennis type system.
Remember Kessler vs Magee? Never mind Kessler was getting 1.4 million for that walk over, but that walk over himself, Brian Magee got paid 800k. Anderson Silva only received a 200k purse for his last fight. And ****ing hell, the ratings and sponsorship for a Kessler fight in Denmark also reap in a hell of a lot more than that.

I swear these posters themselves must be paid by the UFC to spread this **** around. All the evidence says boxers are paid better. It's the bigger sport, it soaks up more cash, deal with it. That BS was started by Dana White claiming he pays his fighters better and his zombie like fan base believes every word without question.

No ufc fighter makes anything like the top boxers do. If boxing were run like the ufc then boxers would take a huge paycut. Money attracks talented boxers. If they don't make top dollar to compete in such a hard dangerous sport then most of the better fighters would not be fighting.

Difference is night and day. In MMA everyone has fought everyone in every division. In contrast, how many boxing matchups that fans have been fantasizing do you think will come true? Probably never. Not in your lifetime. Promoters would rather do Broner vs Reese/Malignaggi. Recyle Mosley, Hopkins... These people in the business are just wasting people's time and money.

This. If there was a central boxing organization, not a promotional company, oversee boxing as a sport that would be ideal. Since we have the WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF etc things are all fd up. But if there was only one or two true belts, promotional companies like Golden Boy and Top Rank would be forced to work together.

I agree with the whole one governing body idea, but it's not like the UFC is the only MMA company. IMO it'd be the same thing to wish either TR or GBP totally took over boxing.

you clearly did not because the former boxer Noons got dominated from start to finish in that fight. Mercer did knock out Sylvia but was also dominated by Kimbo slice in mma. its a totally different sport.

                      Sergio vs Chavez.Champ vs Champ
                      Trout vs Canelo..#1 vs #2 at 154

                      Money vs Mosely..2 ATG
                      Manny vs Maragrito
                      ETC...ETC...ETC...

The only MEGA Fight in boxing that was missed was Pac v Money in the last 10 years with very few exceptions from promotional companies.

GGG is must see tv..but he is not even in at top 3 at MW right now. Sergio v Geale would be MEGA Fight by UFC standards..belt holder vs beltholder.

We all want to see great fights and will. We don't need one promotional company controlling everything and driving down fighter salaries while making a killing off a flawed product like the UFC does.

I am more concerned about watching 3 great weekends of sold out BOXING coming up and the drama adds to the sport.
