JMM vs Pacquiao 4. Marquez was saying he wasn't going to let the judges rob him again but I definitely wasn't expecting that kind of a fight. I thought it would be pretty similar to the third fight with JMM out boxing Manny as usual.

i dont doubt one bit that it was his gameplan, to excite people and gain their respect.

it was completely out of his norm to fight like that.

the gameplan when out the window in the first, when he was badly hurt. he was able to use some of his boxing skills later on, but it was on legs that were never 100% there.

        Mayweather-Guerrero.

i didnt expect that fight to go that way. i thought floyd was just goin to counter punch during the first half and figure him out first but he went in like a pure slugger.

guerrero for sure underestimated floyds power too much. another impressive, expected win.

That was a great fight? That was a one-sided ass whooping from round 2-12.

he went in there to remake his image from a boring boxer to an exciting slugger regardless of whether he got wobbled or not.

with that said, i have a newfound respect for bradleys heart.

if he didnt box like he did on the 2nd half he wouldve been knocked out lol

The list for this goes on and on and on. That's why Boxing is the best sport in the world. Although it can be predictable at times, very predictable. It's also the most unpredictable sport at times. Take the glaringly obvious answer, Tyson-Douglas, in 1990 ask 1,000 people who wins that fight I guarantee you 1,000 people will pick Tyson. Fast forward 5 years later you'd get similar results Tyson-Holyfield.

Take a recent fight for example, Salido-Garcia, everyone is expecting an absolute barn burner and it turns out to be a one sided fight with little action.

Then take last weekends fight, everyone's expecting a boring, one sided fight and it ends up being an all out war.

                    A few examples of this;

Marquez-Diaz 1, people expected a good fight but not FOTY.

Mayweather-Chavez, after Mayweather's demolition of Hernandez, Corrales and Manfredy no one is expecting Chavez, albeit a good, top fighter to give him his toughest test at 130. And that was a great fight, exciting, a war. Chavez-Morales very similar situation.

Jamie Moore-Matthew Macklin, similar to Marquez-Diaz in the fact people were expecting fireworks but nothing like what we got.

                    Benitez-Curry
                    Foreman-Lyle
                    Whitaker-Hurtado
Hamed-Kelly (Hamed rarely in a dull fight but no one was expecting the up and down fight these two had)
                    Norris-Walters

The list could go on all day.

I'd say Morales vs Maidana. I was concerned for Morales health going into that to the point where I almost didn't want to watch it, but he put up a great scrap.
