    Unexpectedly great fights

Most of thought Bradley vs Ruslan was a ****** fight that made little sense and assumed Bradley would win a boring decision. I doubt many thought Bradley would slug it out and be a potential fight of the year.

What are some other examples over the years that come to mind? Fights that appeared to be mismatches but ended up ****ers?

PAC Vs JMM 3 - most people thought PAC was going to KO JMM.

Benn vs McClelan - everybody except Nigel Benn and a few Brits thought McClelan was brought in to do a number on Benn.

Ortiz-Berto. Going into the fight everyone felt Berto was too big and strong to lose to Victor. People forget that this was Ortiz's first fight at 147 and everyone had giant questions about his heart in the ring.

I did not expect Burns vs Martinez to be as good as it was.

            khan vs Madiana

most people thought soon as Madiana touches his chin he's going sleep, nearly happened in round 10.

            Katsidis vs Earl

most thought Kats would blow straight through him but it turned into a war with both men going down and getting up

Rodrigo Guerrero vs Sebastien Gauthier. I remember thinking ''wow this undercard sucks & Rodrigo is going to just blow this guy away'' it turned out to an epic fight, I am surprised more don't mention this fight as its a modern classic!

              Brilliant scrap!

brad-prov was great because timmeh decided to trade and slug it out. thus making it an exciting fight.

i dont doubt one bit that it was his gameplan, to excite people and gain their respect.

it was completely out of his norm to fight like that.

i didn't think it would be a mismatch, per say, but the first recent fight that came to mind was martinez - williams 1.

i didn't expect two southpaws to make for action like that. at that stage we didn't really know what sergio martinez had. we had a good idea, but we couldn't be sure how he'd react when that pretty face of his took big shots (other than from margarito 5-10 years earlier)
