HBO No Longer Working with Golden Boy Promotions

HBO has more subscribers than ShowTime. This isn't good for the sport at all.

Ive actually been thinking of cancelling my subscription to HBO. I like the fact that Showtime has the entire Cards on demand as opposed to just the fights. I dont watch the shows with the exception of eastbound and down and when they had curb your enthusiasm. I actually watvh the shows on showtime.

This is the equivalent of when Ted Turner stop investing in WCW and let Vince McMahon win. Top Rank has no bonafide PPV star outside of Manny and maybe Marquez and they rounding 3rd going towards home career wise. Unless they will have Rios-Alvarado 12.

What about Chavez?? He had 500k PPV Buys and has the BIGGEST rating on HBO for the past 3 years with 1.9 million viewers in the Rubio fight.. Chavez Jr. is the real MR. HBO lol

So what's to watch in SHO GBP ? Floyd d coward & Canelo? And Canelo is endangered in his next fight! Trout might spoil their Plan. Floyd might keep his tails covering his ***** and duck canelo if he wins. Who else???

Not at all. The Showtime that created the Super Six and Bantamweight Tournament is long, long gone now that GBP's Lawyer is running the network.

This right here. Competition between promoters to provide the best fights at the lowest cost is that Boxing sorely needs. Instead we now have two promotional companies each providing whatever output they like to their respective networks.
