You don't really sound like much of a boxing fan tbh. Showtime has the sho-box the new generation series & they've a history full of awesome fights. And the championship boxing series has always been great. I remember guys like Angulo, Kirkland, the Punisher, Trout & such got exposure on showtime long before any of them were ever on hbo.

Maybe it wasn't hbo thst made the call. Maybe gbp got a big exclusive deal from showtime. Im just speculating though.

It was bad enough when TR/GBP weren't working with each other, but now networks are getting ****** too? This is ugly.

This would be a step toward HBO getting rid of boxing altogether~ you would think a fortune 500 company would act a bit more calculated and cool headed.

I give boxing 5 years more on HBO tops, unless they change course.

HBO is done they are another Manny KO from Top Rank plumetting; idiots will say Showtime will be screwed if the Ghost beats Floyd; no it will create another superstar for Golden Boy.

HBO is dumb. Top Rank is their primary company, and Top Ranks stable of fighters is.....not what it used to be.

HBO has more subscribers than ShowTime. This isn't good for the sport at all.

Anyone know what HBO and Showtimes boxing budget are for 2013? I know HBO made cuts last year while Showtime increased their budget.
