"I do everything average" Tim Bradley

How many fighters in the game can you name that have better defense than Bradley besides Hopkins, Ward, and Mayweather.

Off the top of my head I can think of Marquez, Moreno, Martinez, perhaps Donaire, perhaps Wladimir Klitshcko.

Not seen Broner step up yet so not sure on him yet.

He also leaves himself pretty wide open when he attacks especially from the outside.

I haven't quite understood how that hasn't cost him more, he has kind of a funky awkward rhythm that guys I guys have trouble picking up on, that is about all I have.

Yeah but he always has one eye open if you know what I mean, which is why fighters can't capitalize on it. Similar to Ward, I saw Ward at times attack recklessly against Kessler. They have really good ring awareness.

He may not be great, but average is someone like Pacquiao or Alexander, guys who avoid punches but don't have many ways to do it. Bradley certainly has better defense than that.

I think Pacquaio's defense is below average and Bradley is not much better defensively than Pacquaio IMO.

Alexander is unquestionably below average.

He may feel that way, and one doesn't always have to be an agreement to how a fighter views himself in the ring, but defensively he's well above average. Even when he gets hit he's rolling with the shots. He has very good head/ upper body movement.

Lamont Peterson, Abregu, and Alexander all found out how difficult it is to hit Bradley.

And I don't see how. He's slippery but he's not overly impressive at all defensively.

He is humble despite most people on here calling him arrogant. He says he does everything well.....well doesn't mean average.


I saw someone comment on his mean streak too.....would you be in a good mood if you read comments about people calling you a fraud and a bum all the time? The guy is undefeated, top 10 in the world, 2 division champion. He gives his life to the sport that we claim to love and respect except he is the one putting in the work...he isn't a circus act like some of these other "superstars"..he takes the road less traveled and enjoys the rough terrain.

Average fighters don't accomplish what Bradley has in his career, he is way above average at everything he does. Even his punching power is above average, he dropped Peterson, wobbled Abregu, hurt Holt, hurt Alexander, dropped Witter.....he has hurt every single one of his opponents in the fights I have seen. His defense is exceptional, his movement is exceptional, his speed is way above average, his ring IQ is way above average. He gets sloppy sometimes and people attribute that to being mediocre.

Average guys don't beat fighters that no one else seems to be able to beat.

Bradley is not an average fighter. I didn't claim he was. Anyone who is solid in every area and has one of the best conditioning in the sport is not an average fighter.

You're saying Bradley has exceptional defense and movement and has way above average speed and ring IQ yet Bradley himself say's he is no better than average in any area.

I take his word on what he can do over yours.

I just couldn't disagree more with that. He slips well, he can make fighters miss inside and out, and despite fighting very wildly doesn't get hit with really hard punches that often.

So did Manny, whether people had him winning or not, that was an unimpressive performance regardless. Look at how well he avoids/ minimizes the effect of the punches.

He say's "I do everthing average, I do everything well".

He say's in another video from a few years ago "There is nothing that I do exceptionally but I do everything well".

And his mean streak is a good thing. No one is critiszing him for that. This is a mean business.
