May being brash but real as usual, must be jealous of SOG's resume. In all reality as much as I like Ward's humble approach, Floyd has a point.

Mayweather wishes to have Kessler, Froch, Bika, Abraham, Green and Miranda on his resume.

Instead of Hernandez, De La Hoya, Corrales, Castillo, Marquez, Mosley, Hatton, Cotto, Ortiz, Judah, Gatti, etc.

The real reason is because Ward is rooting for Guerrero, because they are buddies from the amateur days. Which I see nothing wrong with, but I do see something wrong with people saying Floyd Mayweather Jr is jealous of Andre Ward.

You know what is funny, I used to not stand Floyd but after being on this website for the past few years I have become a fan. The hate he gets towards him is amazing. He is a great fighter and no matter what he does people will hate him. smh

Exactly. The guy can't win. People always find an excuse to dislike him. I've been on here for a while and the Floyd hate goes in cycles. People hate him, he doesn't fight for a while, then he does and blows the guy out, people post a million threads about how great he is and how they now respect his skills, then he takes a break, then they hate him. Then they say, "Oh Floyd is being quiet, he's not talking, he must be scared." But as soon as he gives an interview they say he should shut up. Man can't catch a break.

Seems pretty inappropriate of Floyd. Could you imagine if Ali came out blasting SRL, or SRL to Whitaker?

The only one that needs to squash anything is Mayweather. Ward didn't say anything to cause Mayweather to go off on him.

Mayweathers right about the religion thingy. But andre wards a good fighter and hes fighting real competition thats why i respect him,he never ducked no one in the supersix where as mayweather ducked pacquiao.

That has something to do with the competition at 168 and 175 though, right? There's not as many P4P level threats around there to give anyone a thought that Ward will lose soon.

Not really.

Froch beat Pascal and a host of other good fighters. IMO Froch is a better fighter (accomplishment wise) than anyone at 140, 154, 160 etc. Kessler was highly regarded as was Dawson and others. Remember...before Dre did his thing at 168...it was considered the hottest division in boxing.

So no it's not due to competition, although now those divisions seem barren as Ward has beaten the best from those respective divisions (although I would still like to see him rematch Dawson at 175).

Honestly I agree with him, Floyd says some absolutely SILLY things at times but here I admit hes telling the truth. Andre Ward hasn't really got a pleasing style to watch and he isn't really to marketable in terms of looks/personality. Though if you look at his competition, its stellar. He has beaten everyone that has been put in front of him and convincingly as well.

A lot of Wards competition has been weak to average. It's not his fault though.
