Exactly. Yes there are other opponents at 140. Pauline happens to be the loudest mouth in the division with a title belt. Bro jumping 2 weight classes to fight him is not only Bros ego
at play, but a pretty decent challenge that may backfire on him if Paulie is on point that night. Paulie cant knock out a weak chinned grandma, but beating Broner would be an accomplishment for the books.

Let the kid test waters up at Welterweight before knocking him down. Lets see what his next few fights are. So ya'll haters need to calm TF down.
I'm a big Broner fan, but I think he brought a lot of this onto himself. One big reason why he has so many haters is because of his personality and the fact he's so damn good. He messed up by calling fighters out that he is not ready to fight. He might think he is ready, but his team, that really makes the decisions, don't. Its clear they are going to move him along slower than he lead on. Because of him, everyone expects him to fight the top fighters. Then there are those who hate him anyway and want to criticize every little thing he does. You and I might understand him because of his age, but the majority of posters on this forum are also in their 20's and haven't experienced enough in life to know how little a 23 year old really knows. That's why they are not buying the "he young" excuse. I think its a good fight for him. Paulie is a lot better than any of the guys currently at 135. I suspect Broner will probably drop back down after that fight or even take another fight at 147 they think he can win. I don't see them putting him with the best for another two years, which is a smart move. Until then, get used to everyone complaining about every fighter he faces.

Its actually not a bad move for Mayweather Jr jr. he's testing the waters against the most vulnerable guy between 140 and 147, with a belt. I think Mayweather Jr Jr should be favored, but Paulie isnt just gonna give it to him. Paulie has great boxing skills. For all the trouble Mayweather Jr Jr had with Gavin Rees in those first 4 rounds, Paulie will give him that all nite and force Mayweather Jr Jr to pull out his whole arsenal. Come the 12th round Mayweather Jr Jr may need a stoppage to assure him the W. Paulie's gonna box.

Tired of talking about it already lol. He's gonna come in at 142 maybe. He can still go to 140. All the top 140 guys have fights lined up. Everyone complains he fights little guys then jumps 2 weights and he's cherry picking. Give me a break

Because Welter is a much weaker division than 140 and 135

I like Broner but how is that impressive? He's getting a title shot because GB promotes Paulie, the weakest welterweight champion I can remember. Nothing impressive about it.

And people are pissed because 140 is the most popping division in boxing right now, and the supposed next big thing in the sport is skipping right over it. That's some bull****.

It looks like a boring fight! More of a cable fight than a pay channel fight.

There were much, much better choices for Broner but he chose to cherrypick the weakest WW.
It's funny how only they can be young n cherry pick.
