Yeah...McCallum got a gift in England, against the British fighter.

& yeah, Graham was the washed-up one...despite having only a few more fights than McCallum, being younger, & being the natural 160lber that McCallum wasn't ?

Do you believe your own bull****, JUYJUY ?
Hey come on,surely you know Herol was a natural 154-pounder and that he was at his best at that weight(much more avoided than Mike ever was!). Mike was at his best at 160 if you ask me,I certainly didnt expect him to beat even a faded Bomber Graham and what he did to Watson was sick.

The fight was very close,Mike said afterwards he would of had no complaints with a draw. Herol thought he had it won and showboated in the last few rounds, those last few rounds being probably 10/10s when Herol could of probably won those rounds if he didnt think he already had it won. Just my opinion.

The ****in' guy was knocked out in a boxing match. Don't sit here & wax poetically about what coulda been with him, when his fighting fate was absolutely determined by a FIGHT ITSELF.
He wasnt knocked out,he was stopped because he looked like he was on another planet at the start of round 12. He suffered a bloodclot on the brain,it was unfortunate. Nobody saw the punch coming,Watson floored Eubank for the first time in Eubanks life and from memory Eubank got straight up unexpectedly and ****. Roy Francis should of started counting when Eubank went down but he didnt,so what happened shouldnt of happened.

So.....Eubanks hit Watson with a legal punch ? Yes, he did.
Let me guess, Julian Jackson's one-punch KO of Graham, doesn't really count right ? I mean, Graham was schooling him before walking into that unexpected punch, right ?

I don't understand why "this shouldn't have happened".
They were boxing, one guy was hit with a massive bomb....how do you change that ?

From memory Roy Francis should of started counting,Eubank should of been given a standing eight,Watson was stood in front of a floored Eubank with a dropped guard and BOOM his life was over due to Francis's lack of alertness.

He actually moved up to lightheavy in 1989 for one fight before the Benn fight was arranged,he was a lightheavy fighting at 160 until the Eubank rematch where he had the luxury of a 168 limit and it obviously showed because he didnt look so timid going into his last fight. Thats why I say Warren,Lee and Eubank rematch were his three best performances because he didnt have to drain down to 160 and the opposition were very good. Benn/Watson fight,I havent seen it for ages but from my memory Benn was winning every round until he got thumbed in the eye.
I get that impression, in earlier fights of Watson i have he was more of a badboy but when he fought Benn and Mccallum and 1st Eubank he was a goodboy! Ive got the Bruno v Witherspoon card on VHS from Wembley where he Ktfos simon Collins early on with a sweet right cross that laced thru his defence. I got about a few others, maybe four others , and he was bad back then. He tried being a nice guy, it did nt work, so he was a badboy again for 2nd Eubank fight

                Greg, Your Info Is Wrong.

Michael Sparred With Donald Lee When He Went To Detroit To Help Kirkland Prepare For Duran. He Did Not Fight Donald Lee In Amateurs.

Michael Sparred With Nunn In Los Angeles When Watson Was Alternate For Gb Team And Nunn Was Alternate For Us Team, It Was Not A Amateur Fight But Very Close Quality Sparring According To Those Who Saw.

Michael Won London Abas In 1984. Not 1982. Not 1983. But 1984. He Didnt Even Compete In 1982 Or 1983 Londons, He Lost At The Semi Final Stage Of An Nabc Tourney In 1982-83 Season But Came Back The Next Season To Win The Nabc Class C Championship Against Graeme Hall Of Whitburn At The Grosvenor House Hotel, I Should Know Because I Was There Covering It For The London Evening Standard.

The Fights You Talk Of With Errol Christie And John Melfah Were West Ham Versus West England.

Dan Sherry And O'sullivan Came To Birmingham For Western Europe Versus Canada, But Michael Fought Rick Duff At This Meet Not Those Guys. Beat The Guy Duff Too. And Michael Never Fought As An Amateur Overseas.

                Thanks

Yeah, there were three judges all from Sheffield, England. Honest! There were!

You dumbass. Graham turned pro in 1978 and was a light-middle until 1984, disgracefully avoided like the ****ing plague for years. McCallum turned pro many years later. Graham's peak was at light-middle, nobody could touch him. I don't think anybody could of beaten him, but we'll never know because he was too good for his own good.

Honestly...its sickening having to watch juy post his biased takes and incorrect info on this great site...AGAIN!

He's been called out by multiple members now and it's just plain disgraceful at this point. New members or cats that don't know much about the sport shouldn't have to read this **** like it's factual information when its not.

"Nobody but Eubank could have taken the Watson who fought Eubank in that second fight"

Hah right only Eubank could have right? Jesus...my face actually hurts from reading this ****.

Mike McCallum>Eubank/Benn/Graham/Collins/Watson, etc, etc...some of you are just going to have to learn to live with that. And to think that I actually like both Watson and Eubank for what they've accomplished in the ring and for that excellent 2nd fight they gave the fans. Some of you are SERIOUSLY making people sick with your sensationalist claims about these guys.
