The words Paulie and Exciting don't go together. He is the Welterweight version of Vasquez/Abril. And he sure as hell is not a top 8 welterweight and struggled with a junior welterweight Cano.

This sucks. why doesnt he just fight the guys at 140 when they're effective in their best division?

I like Broner, but this is crap.

I would have liked to have see Broner-Burns .. but it seems Burns is tied up with contract issues at the moment. Even if he isn't, Burns still hase Vazquez to get by

fighting Malignaggi should be a decent test for Broner, but Adrien is taking on one of the weaker belt holders at Welter, which is why it's seen as cherry picking. But Welter doesn't look as strong as it has in years past

yep, Matthysee vs Peterson is slated to happen on May 18th. On the Alexander-Brook undercard in Atlantic City

so all the "Broner is ducking the whole 140 division" crap needs to stop. Garcia, Khan, Rios and Peterson all have fights lined up, and certainly wouldn't be available by Broner's next fight date (June)

Broner's only fighting Paulie at WW, because it's his best financial option at the moment.

why wait around for names that might not be there, when you can fight?

I think its something to do with the fact that even if Broner was forced to weigh 130 to Paulies 147, Paulie still wouldnt be able to hurt him with his piss weak punches and diminishing speed.

147 is harder then 140, your talking about a Division with 4 Top 10 P4P Fighters in it (Mayweather, JMM, Pacquiao, Bradley), 140 don't have NONE so I am laughing a little when i see people saying "BRONER DUCKED 140"?

Not really, I think it is more so Al Haymon keeping his fighters away from each other for now so they can develop into stars, Danny Garcia has to clean out 140...NOT BRONER! So you leave 140 for Garcia and if he Cleans that out and Broner does well at 147 then now you have 2 Young Stars going into the future of boxing and down the road at 147 they fight and the both get MORE MONEY, not even Garcia though, all of the top fighters currently at 140 will end up at 147 very soon regardless

Canelo fought nobody good at 147, when Sergio Martinez gave up his 154 WBC Belt, Canelo Jumped Up and fight a BUM for that belt, did anybody say "CANELO IS DUCKING 147" HELL NO!

But it is Broner so Logic goes out of the window when it comes to discussing Broner, people just make up **** because they hate him but to say "HE IS DUCKING 140" is HILARIOUS when in actuality 147 is HARDER! NO! 147 is where all the attention is right now!

Did anybody accuse Robert Garcia of Ducking 140? I don't remember seeing that when he made his jump

147 harder than 140?? BULLSHIT! He is fighting Pauli who is easier than anyone in the top 8 at 140 and easier than anyone in the top 8 at 147!! out of 16 fighters, he picked the EASIEST one!

Broner going up to fight Malignaggi at 147 is still a better fight than a Burns fight at 135. I think Broner beats Malinaggi and will have to defend his title in that weight class. I would have been happy to see him fight the guys at 140 but will see what happens with this move.

Your talking about 1 Damn Opponent...I am talking about the Division OVERALL! 140 Don't have a Top P4P fighter at the moment...147 has 4 of them so how is 140 harder? Oh based on the hype some fans have on Garcia, Matthysse and Rios?

Most of the fighters currently at 140 will probably be at 147 very soon anyway

LAME excuse for Broner to pick a Welterweight who would be beaten by at least 8 140 pounders and all 4if not more of the top Welterweights!!
