It's lame but it makes sense for Broner tbh. Paulie is there for the taking, so Aid may as well smash him to bits and take his title. I can't see him coming back to 135 after, but I doubt he will stay at 147.
He's not exactly big at the weight. He's probably the biggest name that can challenge Paulie now. Everyone else of any note at welter is tied up.

If Paulie's last fight was Senchenko, then I might be more accepting, but a slow as molasses Cano who came up in weight from 140, then failed to make weight for the fight and looked flabby, knocked Paulie down and and won the fight on everyone's score card on the Showtime panal (where Paulie works) and got booed by everyone in the Barclays (which is Paulie's hometime). So no, I'm not impressed with this fight for broner. The 2 division talk is BS, he walks in the ring the same weight as floyd or pac man. He doesn't have to worry about feeling the power of 7KO Malinaggi. Even after "the ghost" loses to Mayweather, I would like to see broner stick around to take on someone like "the ghost" or maidana.

Your talking about 1 Damn Opponent...I am talking about the Division OVERALL! 140 Don't have a Top P4P fighter at the moment...147 has 4 of them so how is 140 harder? Oh based on the hype some fans have on Garcia, Matthysse and Rios?

Most of the fighters currently at 140 will probably be at 147 very soon anyway

3 of those 4 are there on acheivement and reputation but are declining rapidly, the other one(bradley) probably shouldnt be there anyway. And so ****ing what if these 140lbrs do move up eventually? How do you know that they will be effective at the higher weight? Broner would get much more shine fighting them when they are live and in a division that suits them best.

Also think a lot of you are underestimating the hell out of Paulie at 147 because all most of you remember is the Khan Fight with Paulie, Paulie is no push over! If people are saying Vazquez would give Broner Problems at 135 then Paulie should really give Broner problems at 147

The point is that 147 is a better then Division then 140 and the fact that they have 4 Top P4P fighters in their Division PROVES THAT

Your just throwing out assumptions, your Assuming that Broner won't fight any of the top fighters if he beats Paulie, your ASSUMING he won't fight any of the top 140 fighters, your assuming Paulie will be a push over and a easy win for Broner (most because people on this forum are Boxrec checkers and they assume because Paulie don't have Power he will just get blown away)
