I didn't say he was a great fighter but he's a top Lightweight. Arguably has the best resume at Lightweight.

Both Katsidis and Mitchell were considered 50/50 fights and he dominated both.

His resume is better than Broner's at both 130 and 135 and like you said would be his best win.

    They should fight.

Terrible fight I hope this is just a baseless rumor. I refuse to watch it, or even acknowledge it, forget paying for it.

Hell at 135 Vasquez, Burns and Abril are all at the same level yet everyone wants ricky burns for Broner. Why?

My post wasnt pointed at Broner but at there is this myth that Burns is some great fighter, he's not
ive never heard anyone say that. not one person, and ive never heard anyone elude to that. the reason the burns fight is a bigger deal than the other two is 1. the history behind it and 2. burns simply has a bigger following. ppl have been clamoring for this fight since sfw. and like i said saying hes not a great fighter is not an insult. the only great fighters in that range are floyd, jmm, pac, and maybe tim bradley. everybody else is pretty equal to burns in resume. sure some may have more hype but its definitely not because of their accomplishments. u guys confuse me sometimes.

Proven to be decent. Nobody is insulting the guy, just squashing this "burns is a great fighter" myth

Legit world champ? Trace his titles back and see who they came from. Not 1 fighter was a top 10 guy. He's a paper champ

Clamoring for this fight? Why, because it was announced as a possible matchup for Broner and Broner fans ran with it. Its burns or nothing at 135. If they are all the same, then why isnt he chasing Garcia, Guerrero, Lucas, Abril, Vasquez or peterson? You're talking about other fighters and "hype" yet you're hyping up Burns like hell, because he beat Katsidis

when the hell did i hype up burns??? and when the hell did i say broner shouldnt go after other fights, in fact where the hell is your reading comprehension??? its clearly missing. theres a difference between hyping up a fighter and sinply pointing out the truth of the matter. man, boxing fans have definitely become skewed. i mean how the hell did pursuing a figt against a guy like burns become a bad thing. smh. thats honestly pathetic.

50/50 odds dont make a win better when you're facing a mediocre fighter. Just the fact that Kat and Mitchell make him a top LW says something, That LW sucks. Hell Demarco was the top LW 2 months ago. He's equal to Vasquez, Abril and Broner but none of those guy have really done anything at 135. The division sucks and Burns needed that Vasquez win but at this point he is medicore in every way including resume

What are you saying here Russian, you want Broner to fight at 140?

Even if he did move to 140 he isn't likely to be taking on a threat like Matthysse first up anyway, it would be a Malignaggi level fighter in any event (which is only sensible career-wise).

Is this real? Dissapointed, I wanted to see him make a mess at 140. Anyways, I hope he stays at 147 long enough to fight some people at 140 who move up. I wanted Broner to put on a show against Rios or Matthysse, Peterson would of been a great fight too.

In your last post. They're all equal right, other then Pac, JMM bradley and Floyd. Wait add Paulie to that list! Its seems that for Broner, its either Burns or nobody at 135. Its a good fight but nothing like its hyped out to be. And yes people are hyping it up to be some amazing match up ignoring the fact that he's average. He chasing burns but nobody else. Well except ATG paulie of course. THe 4 top fighters at 135 are open right now, a burns matchup is very unlikely for june, so he'll pick one Vasquez or Abril right'? People have this notion that he HAS to fight burns before leaving 135, its hilarious
