Why isn't anyone calling for Garcia vs Matthyse?

Thats completely ridiculous and it is not the reason he is facing Judah. You dont start with a conclusion and the inject facts into how that situation came about. He is facing judah because he has looked horrible, especially quitting against Khan and is also from Brooklyn, which is where the fight is being held. The Judah-Garcia fight 3 years ago wasnt an eliminator to face Garcia now, it makes no sense at all, its just a justification you made, that is horrible. Its like saying it would be ok for anyone to face Singsurat over Pac because he beat Pac

You had Devon winning in that poll, then in this thread you said you had lucas winning in that fight. Which one is it? You believe lucas is one of the best 140 fighters, yet justify Garcia fighting Judah because judah got a robbery 3 years ago and beat Paris. Yea he didnt fight because he was promised to get at shot at the belt and instead it was given to Morales. Everything was done to fcuk everyone over and give Khan everything, yet Garcia beat Khan so he's the guy who got all these undeserved praise and credit for JUST a khan win.

No matter how you put it, its way better then garcia. Ok Morales had a rematch clause so after fighting that excuse of a fight, the next step is choosing another washed up fighter with a name? Yea that makes sense, ducking sense

How about morales, morales 2, Judah to Lucas? Too much to ask i know, Matt hasnt earned it, he didnt officially beat Judah 3 years ago, the only possible way a garcia fight could be made today, he blew it. Matt should just retire

I'd also like to note that I don't have a huge problem with Garcia fighting Zab Judah because it's a fight that makes a lot of sense from a business standpoint. Garcia is turning into a star in New York, and Zab Judah is one of the most famous NYC fighters in the game right now. It's a great event to promote Garcia as well as the boxing in NYC at Barclays.

Zab is the perfect opponent to raise Garcia's star on, and his upset of Paris was a good win. Matthyse is more deserving though, and I hope he gets his shot.

No you said before that you had Lucas winning. Here is the post. You didnt say anything about "maybe" winning, you made a point that you had him winning against the fact that many thought he lost, a group of which you claimed not to be part of. Yet the poll makes you part of that group, thats odd. Which one is it, or did you just rewatch the fight in 3D slow-mo and changed your mind?

Its not gonna happen so I'm guessing people like me just gave up on the idea. GBP has been doing everything in their power to keep Garcia away from Matthysse. First they were throwing Matthysse vs Maidana at us and now Matthysse vs Peterson. Matthysse is the mandatory to Garcia but somehow now he's eligible to fight for the IBF (Peterson).

there is no logic behind these comments... Garcia just won his title this past July and he defended it against morales who had a rematch clause... then he signs to fight a guy who beat matthysse... and hes avoiding matthysse... hes been the unified champ since July... lets not prematurely call him out on ducking.... and when Garcia beats Judah CONVINCINGLY unlike Matthysse, what will you say then?

So Judah is the path to Garcia, you're saying it all over. If he had beaten Judah, this, that, and that would happen. Lucas is ranked ahead by everybody, there's no justification for this fight taking place over judah, none.

The boxing business is simple: Fight Judah for $1mm+ (who already beat Lucas) or fight Lucas for a fraction of that amount. Beating Zab also opens up a whole new fan base for him in NY while Lucas brings nothing to the table by way of marketing/business.

They figure, why take the chance ...the fans will get over it at some point. Im not saying its right but its simply just how it works.

lol i categorically hate Mythysse (< no typo), he's one of the most hilarious examples of forum halfwits falling in love with a puncher that i've seen in recent times, but he beat Judah. it was close because Mythysse (< no typo) is a ridiculously slow starter, but he won the fight. the decision against him was very gifty.

i'd have to rewatch the Devon-Mythysse (< no typo) fight, but i do know it was nothing like as scandalous as the Kotelnik-Devon fight (which was a 9-3 fight in Kotelnik's favour, being generous to DA).
