Garcia doesn't want it.

He has been doing his best to discredit Matthysse and talk down the fight, and it seems to have worked as it's not getting much discussion. I think Garcia is fairly average and Matthysse will dominate him, but it's not looking like a fight that's set to happen.

Its not gonna happen so I'm guessing people like me just gave up on the idea. GBP has been doing everything in their power to keep Garcia away from Matthysse. First they were throwing Matthysse vs Maidana at us and now Matthysse vs Peterson. Matthysse is the mandatory to Garcia but somehow now he's eligible to fight for the IBF (Peterson).

because Matthysse lost to zab judah, whether some want to admit it or not, who is fighting danny now.

If Garcia fights Peterson after zab in a unification fight he is fighting someone better than matthysse.

All I'm saying is Garcia/Mattysse is far more even than most of you guys realize. Anyway, honestly, I hope all the best fighters at 140 do not face each other (before) Broner gets there.
