You have to look at the style matchup though. I think Paulie would give Broner more problems than somebody like Rios.

The style matchup?

Paulie's legs are shot, he can't move like he used. Cano got to him and started to beat him up late. His punch resistance if fading and to add insult to injury, he never had good hands. Nevermind the blazing speed he had is all but gone.

What can Paulie give? Rios and others in his weight class have great beards, good power, "prime" fighters and ready to go.

Light Speed is right but you're right as well. Thats why I said a couple of years ago I would've picked Paulie cause of the styles but not at this point. Paulie's movement is gone...

Paulie is shot, has no legs and brittle hands. Where is the honor in beating him at this point? Maybe five years ago, or even three. All the aforementioned guys at 140 would beat up Paulie at this point

he may be the worst champion IYO but he surely isnt the worst ww. just because paulie doesnt have ko power doesnt mean he cant win the fight. No offense, but just because a guy has one puch KO power doesnt mean he's any good. a fight isnt scored with just power.

him beating paulie doesn't mean he is skipping the 140lb division. even if he never fights at 140, to go up to 147 from 135 would be applauded if it were anyone else.

Paulie was always average IMO, now he is pretty crap.

This is a terrible fight. Give us some real fights. By passing the likes of Matthysse, Rios, etc...to take an easy fight with Paulie is dog****.

but thats illogical thinking that permeates NSB. It seems as if whenever an AL Haymon managed fighter does anything there is criticism of that move. WOuld another fighter be criticized for doing this?

Just because people think he's going to lose at 140 doesn't make it a fact. People want him to lose because he is arrogant. Cool. But the logic applied here is ******ed IMO.

But its ok for Broner at 23 to fight a faded Paulie while bypassing arguably the hottest division in boxing.

You're just playing victim here. Guerrero didn't catch **** cause he was shooting for the Mayweather sweepstakes and he got it. Is Broner gonna get a Mayweather fight? We all know the answer is no so why is he in such a hurry to skip 140?
