By most who watched boxing at the time. Everyone's a prospect till they step up. Bradley was Lamont's. Anthony and Rios were each other's step up, in the title eliminator. Peterson was a mild favorite.

Rios has beaten only C fighters, really?

you live in a world of double-standards, Daniel. when Rigo's comp is questioned, we can find you crying and doing your best to make that opposition sound like a murderers row. then when we're talking about someone you don't irrationally worship, we can find you carelessly and pompously throwing around phrases like "C rate" and "life and death" like they're going out of fashion.

your debate skills are limited and you are predisposed to think a certain way, so any further reasoning is wasted on you. the kind of guy who talks about NSB teeming with uneducated fools, seemingly oblivious to the fact that he is just one more. have a pleasant morning.

      Really, C level. I'm serious C level.

What fight fan doesn't exaggerate their favourite fighters opposition slightly?
His opponents are bouncing back pretty well actually and I do genuinely think guys like Corboda are underrated.

Rigondeaux is fighting Donaire next. Who is Rios fighting again? Some guy he already knocked the hell out of but it gets a pass as ''it was exciting the first time around'' bum on bum violence if you ask me.

I've never heard anybody say Anthony was the most talented of the two or anything like tbh though I do know he was a good amateur.

PEDerson was already known and ranked when he fought Bradley. He'd just beaten Willie Blain who was undefeated and had a great amateur background and was hyped to do big things and several other prospects who were highly regarded. Bradley was already a world champion & had wins over Vasquez, Witter in his hometown, Campbell and whoever else he'd beaten.

Anthony Peterson lost that step up, his first step up and never bounced back.

As much as Broner gets on my nerves he has grown on me a little. I'd favor him over Rios. Mostly because Rios is a ******ed ****head.(As is Broner lol) But it Could go either way. I'd love to see it happen

Here's a couple of posters saying it just before the Rios fight:

I can tell you for sure the Willy Blain hype never reached the US. Was it big in Europe?

                  Agreed.

And I doubt Rios would land many clean shots.

I actually think Broner has enough power to stop a coming forward fighter with no defense like Rios.

And that's exactly why this poll is tied up, because a lot of people are voting yes, because they hate Broner. But, when you read the replies to this thread, a good 90% of the posters pick Broner to win. That's because the haters don't want to look foolish posting on here saying Rios would win it easy. Remember, its not about who wins, its whether Rios would win it easy or not.

Rios, while being the face first brawler he is would KO Broner easily.
