No..that fight was good, Whitacker had pop when he sat down and threw punches..its just that he was so nice defensively that he didnt have to stand and fight to win, But in the Hurtado fight he had to KO this cat..Whitacker was unbelievable, Hurtado was like a 4-6 rd fighter he did the same thing againt Kostya, I thought he was going to win the it seemed that he ran out of gas and Kostya beat him down.

I saw that fight live in 1997. I was just a 14 year old casual fan, but I still felt that the fight was too dramatic. I still feel like that today, although I have not seen the fight recently. I just thought that the fight's purpose was to hype the DLH-Whitaker fight up. All a setup.

The ignorance in this thread is unbearable. The immaturity of some of the statements shows how educated some of you really are. Puerto Rico is a small island that has has produced more champions per capita than any other country! that was stated by Emmanuel Stuart(a black man that knows more about boxing than anyone on this forum combined). For some of the comments that people have posted, the validity of your comments is very low due to the uneducated opinions that some of you have made. THe biased ones here are those who are opposing the PuertoRican fans. Yes we have pride and yes we are proud of our champions, what is so wrong with that? I have respect for all fighters that deserve respect, whether they are Mexican, Black, White, or whatever else. Boxing is a sport that has been infulenced by many races, and cultures. Many countries have provided the boxing community with great champions, one of these countries is PuertoRico. Please Stop sending these immature hate threads directed toward PuertoRicans, it is uncessesary and uncalled for. If you don't think that your opinion's are biased about your own choices for boxer's, re-evaluate yourself. Everyone to a certain extent has a biased opinion, whether it is driven by race, demographic origin, etc..etc. Everyone is entitled to their own opinon.

This is from a country with the population of 4 million. What other country or island with that small of a population has provided boxing with the talent that PR has?

Just to give you my last biased opinion; Puerto Rican women have the best asses in the world. Black asses don't come close! LOL
