It's actually a good thing that Trout is the underdog. Place your bets and get your easy money folks.

Kermit Cintron was IBF welterweight champion 2006-2008; Ryan Rhodes was WBC international light middle weight champion 2008; Lovemore Ndou was an IBF welterweight champion in 2007, Carlos Baldomir was a WBC welterweight champion in 2006.

Where these guys were ranked in the WBC when they fought, I am not sure. But if they were not ranked in the top ten when he fought them. It doesn't mean that much. There are names in the top ten that are not recognizable.

Cotto is not necessarily so vastly much more to fight. He's another fighter. Was a top fighter. He had his day but was on the downslope when Trout beat him, and Trout was bigger. Somewhat like some of the guys Alvarez has beaten.

Overall, though, Alvarez has faced more competitive fighters. I certainly am glad Trout and Alvarez are having the fight. We'll be able to tell a lot by what we see there.
I thought El Trucho, looked better against Cotto, than El FRAUDO did !!!
So look for BOY to put Trout, No Doubt, on his long List of Cat's to AVOID!!!

I can see Trout constantly landing his straight left to the body, wearing Canelo down. People call me crazy for seeing Trout being able to stop Canelo, but that body work, along with the fact Canelo is not that hard to hit, it's pretty possible.

So basically, Rhodes is the top 154lber Canelo has fought. That certainly backs your conclusion up. If Wlad fought and beat everyone at 175 by making them come up, instead of heavyweights, would he have faced more competitive fighters than a HW who actually fought heavyweights? Weird argument

He was close to getting Cotto out of there. He was breaking him down to the body.

Canelo's chin is questionable so it's possble. Trout has shown he can take a good shot. Cotto landed some solid hard shots on Trout and he never looked stunned.

Bu!!siht, the version of Cotto that Trout fought was worlds better than the extremely faded version of Mosely Canelo fought

Canelo has a chance to impress me here. Trout has a high boxing IQ so I expect it to look ugly if Canelo doe win. Hell as a matter of fact remind me why Canelo is the favorite again in the first place?
