I can certainly see Trout outboxing Canelo all night. That said, there's just a little bit of something 'special' missing from Trout that has me thinking Canelo has a chance, if it turns out that he's the real deal and just hasn't been allowed to prove himself yet.

I, for one, can't wait for this fight. I think it will tell us all we need to know about both fighters, and that's exciting.

IMO, there's nothing more special than being able to defeat a hometown fighter on more than 1 occasion.

This is going to be like Paulie Malignaggi vs Juan Diaz 1 all over again, Paulie puts on a Clinic but got ROBBED, same thing will happen with this fight, Trout puts on a Clinic but Alvarez gets saved by the judges and they either flat out give it to him OR they call it a DRAW...it if goes to the Cards I will be SHOCKED if it is not any Controversy with the Score Cards

Trout win over Cotto alone takes a dump all over Canelo`s opponents.Cotto is a future hall of Famer and those guys that Canelo fought are permanent journeymen.

Cotto did not take that fight seriously. He didn't look like he was nearly in the shape he was for the Mayweather fight and made comments about his career ending just before the Trout fight.

It was still a great win for Trout but it was by no means the Cotto that fought Mosley for instance. Canelo is getting better with every fight and Trout's lack of pop is going to be a serious problem for him on fight night. Still can't wait for this fight though, it's going to be awesome.
