I've never been this confident before. I'd literally be shocked if Mayweather signed to fight Canelo. Mayweather's History says otherwise.

If Mayweather really wanted to fight Canelo, he could've easily signed the guarantee and had Canelo on his undercard, helped PPV sales to create a mega-block buster event with Showtime hyping the Mayweather-Canelo fight for September during the PPV.

This could've boosted sales on both fronts and Mayweather would've actually been in a High-risk fight taking on Canelo because I actually have Canelo Beating Mayweather to a pulp if it ever happens.

But Alvarez is a draw. I think he's as big a draw as anyone not named Pacquiao, Mayweather or even Cotto.
Canelo's numbers on HBO were usually comparable to Chavez Jr's as well. Chavez Jr drew 1.6M for Lee, 1.5M for Manfredo and Zbik. Canelo drew 1.5M for Cintron and 1.6M for Rhodes. No real reason to question his drawing power you would think.

OK, I will give you that. Maybe he's doing it not to overlook anyone for psychological reasons maybe, I don't know.

Either way, I think the Canelo fight is done because of the money involved.

Did anyone buy a PPV just for Alvarez? If his name is as big as people think he shouldn't be appearing on anyones undercard. Carrot top trying to force the biggest name in the game to bend to his demands is actually quite hilarious.

I can see both sides. I don't know why you would want a contract for a future fight, when you have one in front of you, but I respect Canelo for taking control of his career. Alvarez-Trout deserves to be a headliner.

Of course. Canelo-Trout is anybodys fight. Floyd-Guererro is a ritual slaughter.
