A lot of things can change quite quickly in boxing between now and a supposed Alvarez fight. Signing a fight when circumstances can change is a ****** thing to do, Mayweather knows this because he did the exact same thing with Judah.

Floyd should be favoured quite big IMO. Still it's far more interesting than the Guererro fight.

As much as I agree that Floyd was never particularly likely to offer any sort of a guarantee, it's also a bit over the top to say that Canelo was trying to 'bend him to his will', or force him into doing anything.

Canelo would add value to the Mayweather-Guerreo PPV. He knows that, and he tried to use that value as leverage in securing a fight with Floyd Mayweather.

Simple as that really. There's nothing unreasonable about what either party did. If Canelo's trying to get a fight with Floyd, then that's a good thing, especially when you look at how unimpressive his opponent selection has been to date.

Dan Rafeal deliberately did`nt mention the fact that Floyd was willing to go 50/50 in the first negotiations with Pacquiao and its Pacquiao who turned down and waited 2 years to agree to random testing. Then before PAcquiao agreed Floyd seen what Pacquiao makes less them him in fights and felt that Pacquiao did`nt deserve to go 50/50 with him.

But I don't know how any boxing fan would want to watch fights knowing that both fighters already have future dates in tact. How many times has this not worked over the past year even?

And then there's the issue with the judges being influenced which was the case with De La Hoya vs. Felix Sturm.
Exactly. This is what people either ignore or don't comprehend. If I were Trout or Guerrero I'd be real su****ious if Floyd and Alvarez already had a signed contract before their respective fights. Issues like this separate the real fans from the losers with agendas.

...and just how many PPV has Canelo sold? I'll wait...

Fat ass Dan is just mad because he still can't get an interview from anybody with the last name Mayweather. He seemed so salty last weekend, about the Showtime deal.

Again, Canelo hasn't sold anything in regards to PPVs. I doubt if many were on the fence to buy Floyd's last fight, because of Canelo/Mosley.

Canelo to do exactly what he's doing now, walk away and do his own damn numbers. He's been getting enough shine off of Floyd's name over the past few years...not the other way around like he believes.

Once you sign that contract it's over. I'm sure Floyd is well aware of the Canelo Curse.

Anyone comparing Canelo's drawing power to Floyd's is nuts. If Floyd said he would fight him after his fight with Trout that should be enough. Since when does the undercard make demands on the headliner. Personally, I don't think Floyd need to fight Canelo. You're not talking about an older blown up LW or WW. Canelo is young, strong, and naturally bigger that Floyd. Even though I think Floyd is too smart of a boxer to lose to Canelo, it would be a lot of risk and little reward. With that being said, I think they will fight and I expect Floyd to win. He'll probably suffer a lot of damage in the process and that might affect his future in the sport.

It's all about money in the end. Had Floyd shared a percentage of his PPV with Canelo, the co-features would have materialized EVEN without Floyd's signature guaranteeing Canelo a September fight. I guess self-preservation wins the day for Floyd.
