Who is the better boxer Mathysse or Peterson?

People that say Peterson has WAY better boxing are delusional. Matthysse's boxing is severely under rated.

I'll give Peterson the edge in experience, but that's it.

Matthysse can box from the outside, and his inside game is gonna be a nightmare for Peterson.

Not to mention Matthysse is a much more dynamic puncher to the head and body.

Don't sleep on Matthysse's defense either. He's a stud in all aspects.

He's not some face first brawler that people love to label him as.

Peterson,but it's close..Matt's has a good jab and sets his punches up well,his foot movement is very underrated as well..Cuts the ring off nicely and can get physical if need be..

Peterson has a better variety of punches,I also think he's the better body puncher..But why I think he's the better boxer is,I've seen Peterson fight off the back foot..He also posses a very good jab(when he uses it)and also has very good footwork..Very even fight imo,but in the boxing ability department,I say the slight edge goes to Peterson..

Im glad someone else recognizes Mathysses foot work. He transitions his angles real smooth. I think alot of people think footwork is all about who has the better springs in their feet but its about knowing when and where to place your outside foot which he does really well which is why I can foresee Mathysse as the superior boxer in this fight. I dont dislike Peterson but the "only" fight I have seen him use some kind of ring intelligence was this last fight against Holt and really it was more of a gameplan...

Bradley has knockdown a lot of fighters bro,no shame in being dropped by Bradley Ortiz(who was a MW when Peterson fought him)or Khan..

I totally agree with you about Matt's..Dude knows how to get the upper hand on his opponents and trap them(even sometimes when they are not on the ropes)his foot and hand coordination is very(very good)..

But I think Peterson displayed some good boxing against Ortiz as well as Cayo..Peterson is a very physical fighter(Matt's better be ready for this)who will clinch to bring you into him,then start to work to the head and body like nobody's business..He did this against Holt and Cayo..With Ortiz(because of Ortiz weight)he had to use movement and a steady jab..Clinch when Ortiz got close because he's nothing more then a bull rusher(which is how he scored both the KD's in the fight)..But he adapted and altered his style and fought going backwards..TBH Peterson should use this style more often(esp against Matt's)but Peterson has a boxers approach and a brawlers mentality..Which is why he is very exciting,and usually in good back and forth kinda fights...

But I see them as even,with a slight edge in the boxing ability department,going to Peterson...

LOL,ok..Can you name the fighter that ran in on Bradley and had their way with him??I'll wait..

Don't let Bradley not having a lot of KO's fool you..Bradley has been fighting at a high level for a long time..You not gonna get KO's at a high level,often..While Matt's and Khan have fought a lot of softy's,Matt's could not KO Judah,should I believe Khan is the stronger puncher when he is clearly not??

Like I said,at a high level you will not score KO's like the one Matt's had over Dallas(snicker)often...

WTF. Hell no he wasn't. Even the HBO commentators were saying he was fighting a smart fight. They were even saying how surprised they were that Matthysse could box like that. They said surprised, because at that point, they've only seen a few of his fights, and labeled him as a brawler. No one was familiar with Matthysse at the time.
