With that said, if Peterson can't handle Matthysse's power and strength, he'll lose a late TKO.

This is a good fight, one of the best that could be made at 140. It'll show if Matthysse can steam roll a top fighter at 140 or not, because though he should have gotten the W over Devon, and had a really really close fight with Judah, he didn't steam roll them by any means. And Ajose/Soto aren't bums but they aren't top fighters either.

People that say Peterson has WAY better boxing are delusional. Matthysse's boxing is severely under rated.

I'll give Peterson the edge in experience, but that's it.

Matthysse can box from the outside, and his inside game is gonna be a nightmare for Peterson.

Not to mention Matthysse is a much more dynamic puncher to the head and body.

Don't sleep on Matthysse's defense either. He's a stud in all aspects.

He's not some face first brawler that people love to label him as.

Why do people keep saying Peterson has power? Who has he ever dropped, hurt, stopped? The guy hit A mere con with everything but the kitchen sink and still couldn't put a dent in him. He hits about as hard as your average 13yr old girl.

Lucas does but people will say Peterson based on his ability to potshot absolute bums.


Lucas is really going to hurt this guy. Peterson is just a guy who is well rounded but he does nothing great, he is average all round.

In this fight peterson will try to box more. If he goes blow for blow with Lucas hes done. Didnt bradley drop lamont in their fight lol. However it was mentioned that the fight might take place in Lamont's hometown again. Lamont can run the whole fight while Lucas lands hard shots, and they'll still give him the win. I hoping they get it at a.c. somewhere neutral.

Peterson can try and box all he wants but eventually he will be drawn into a war and will lose miserably. Peterson's size will carry him till the late rounds but he's gonna get mauled down.

Peterson,but it's close..Matt's has a good jab and sets his punches up well,his foot movement is very underrated as well..Cuts the ring off nicely and can get physical if need be..

Peterson has a better variety of punches,I also think he's the better body puncher..But why I think he's the better boxer is,I've seen Peterson fight off the back foot..He also posses a very good jab(when he uses it)and also has very good footwork..Very even fight imo,but in the boxing ability department,I say the slight edge goes to Peterson..

Bradley has knockdown a lot of fighters bro,no shame in being dropped by Bradley Ortiz(who was a MW when Peterson fought him)or Khan..
