Does GB know Lucas can beat Garcia and are trying to hype him for a Floyd fight after he faces Garcia? Interesting stuff.

as far as people tuning in to see someone get their ass kicked, yea...

he doesn't have the rabid following as PAC has so i'm not sure if he'll get that type of marketability but as far as excitement, Schaefer could be right

but it's an unfair assessment for Lucas...let's allow him to carve out his own legacy instead of trying to be the 'next'

i DID find it interesting for a Golden Boy CEO to bring up a Top Rank fighter with that kind of enthusiasm

If Clottey ever fights again it's not gonna be at welterweight. He was already massive before he took the past few years off.

When did Trout become a LW?
I was referring to your comment about "Canelo has shown better skills than Lucas." The only time he showed better skills was vs the small guys. That's why I said put a LW in front of Lucas and you would say the same thing about him. Canelo looked like **** vs Trout and wasn't even putting punches together and was still gassed out.

                broner is to mayweather
                matthysse is to pacquiao

though neither will surpass their "predecessor"

I'm reading things like Garcia stands a better chance against Mayweather then Lucas, you guys are crazy and are just riding the hype train

I'll make a bet with anyone right now Danny Garcia stops Lucas in 9
When they do fight because I know some Fanboys here think Garcia won't take the fight.

And if Floyd fought Matthysse he would win every round with ease and probably stop Lucas. As much as I hate him Floyd is great Matthysse is just a good pressure fighter that's it

                  Anyone taking bets?
Yeah this is pretty much the case, but understand, since Manny was desolated there's been a concerted effort to diminish Mayweather and find his next destroyer.

Lastly, it isn't a "hype train," its a "anyone other than Mayweather train." Floyd's haters will anoint anyone with a pulse.

Who were the last big punchers Mayweather faced on an Alvarez/Matthysse level?

Can we agree on this much, Alvarez and Matthysse have unusual power?

Matthysse would hurt Guerrero imo. Michael Katsidis hurt Guerrero, so did Floyd.

But on the same note, knowing that the biggest golden boy stars are at 140, have no problem with any of them moving up to fight Floyd. Weird business that.
I don't like the idea of Matthysse moving up either.

Which brawler are you going to put him in with, Maidana?

I think Mayweather beats Matthysse but if they fight, he will be 37 years old by the time it happens.

Matthysse will be the hardest puncher he's face in quite a while.

Who knows? It's going to be a tough fight IMO if it happens.

Certainly tougher than a fight with Canelo. I truley believe that.

I would honestly rather see Matthysse-Mayweather over Mayweather-Canelo but the Canelo fight is a bigger fight which more people want to see.
Based on what? The Canelo fight should be next.
