Nonito Donaire Vs Guillermo Rigondeaux: Who Wins?

Still cant see how Rigo can win this! His only weapon is his straight left. That one can be countered with straight right or left hook! And we knew who's shorter in reach & In Height.

Skill wise Donaire was Proven in the Pros, Rigo only in the Amateurs! Chin?? this is where Rigo fails! Speed, I think Nonito's left is still quicker than Rigo's left straight. Rigo is the better Defensive fighter. But the chin will fail him!

Nonito's only hope for Rigo to get careless, and land his signature left hook.

Otherwise, Rigo's mobility, and defense will carry him to a decisive UD. Of the two, Rigo is more technically sound.

Rigo's only hope is to run all night and try to counter Donaire when he unleashes his left hook or straight right. Unfortunately for Rigo he has below average to average power and Nonito has a great chin. Donaire has the height and reach advantage as well.

I'm the opposite, the closer the fight gets, the more I see it being one-sided. I know Rigo is no joke but I just think Donaire's explosiveness will freeze Rigo up.

I haven't seen Donaire's explosiveness freeze anyone that didn't have one foot into retirement, at least not lately. Vazquez Jr wasn't an impressive win, neither was Mathebula. The tiny Narvaez came to survive, but he did demonstrate that good defense can nullify Nonito's offense. Rigo has excellent defense. The main difference is that he has potent offense to back it up. It's gonna be interesting.

Donaire has some of the widest punch, which is going to allow to him to be countered constantly. Rigondeaux has very tight, quick, hard punchs which makes him very hard to counter.

Below average power? There is a huge difference in brawling (Donaire style, no real boxing skill) and Boxing (Rigondeaux skill).... Rigondeaux has precise attacks, and leaves as little opening as possible; which is what makes his skill desirable. Donaire is another brawler, with great athleticism but lack of true boxing skills. Which is exactly why Rigondeaux is in my view going to win; his great skill and mix of athleticism.

If Donaire Fans only excuse is a "Possibly" weak chin, then a new point is needed. The fact is he was hurt by a man who was 5'10" and physically more imposing than any of Donaire past opposition. Not as skilled but physically bigger than all of them.
So the fact you hold against him, is an excuse not an convincing argument!

Mthalane- Went on to win the IBF Flyweight tital and still holds it

Raul Martinez- Has been undefeated except for a TD in a flyweight title

Hernan Marquez- Went on to win the WBA flyweight title and is the top flyweight in the behind Viloria

Montiel- Wasn't on his way to retirement UNTIL he met Donaire.

Mathebula- Was the IBF super bantamweight champion.

I can't say anything about Rigo if Donaire beats him because he has no accomplishments.

Marroquin is a big kid for 122, but he's actually 5' 8". Mathebula, whom Donaire fought, is 5' 11".

I'm familiar with Nono's record. It's nice. But if you read the first line of my post carefully, I said, "I haven't seen Donaire's explosiveness freeze anyone that didn't have one foot into retirement, at least not lately." Lately, in this case, would mean the last five fights, well over a year.
