If by run, and counter you mean box? Than yes, Rigo hands him a boxing lesson.
Donaire when he unleashes his left hook or straight right.
Thats virtually acknowledged forumwide. The problem is connecting.

Unfortunately for Rigo he has below average to average power
LIES!!! Rigo has good pop in both hands.

Nonito has a great chin. Donaire has the height and reach advantage as well.
Great Chin? It doesn't matter, Rigo will be tagging him.
Height, and Reach? Dont overlook Rigo's Superior hand/foot work, and Athleticism.

Tell you what? just tell your boy, Donaire he can make all the excuses he wants, so long as he shows up on April.

Mathebula is a smaller version of Snoop Dogg, skinny, twig like arms; with no real power. Not to mention his style is much different, outside type of with Donaire.

      • I think Rigo's gonna get overwhelmed. He hasn't faced really anyone worth mentioning and is given mass amounts of credit for his amateur career. As a Pro he hasn't proved much at all and is now facing a bigger, stronger fighter with movement who though isn't technically as sound as Rigo, he's much more dynamic and explosive and Rigo I don't believe will have the power to hurt Donaire.

Agreed. Marroquin is a bigger guy in a real sense. He may be shorter, but he's much fuller. Mathebula is a beanstalk.

This guy, TheHook84, literally doesn't know what he's talking about. I've seen him makes several perplexing statements since the fight was announced. Anyone that makes that inaccurate statement about Rigo's power obviously either hasn't seen Guille fight, doesn't have a clue about boxing, or is simply trolling. Rigondeaux has power in both hands, maybe not quite as impressive as Nonito's, but plenty to lay a hurtin' on the Filipino or anyone else.

            • Nonito by knockout unless Pac's fans jump on his bandwagon.

Lately, in this case, would mean the last five fights, well over a year.
Why the hell you have to point that Donaire never fought any Fresh one, when there's nobody there to clean up? He's been cleaning the Division for 5 yrs now!

And who Does Rigo beat who's notable? maroquin the young guy, shows how to hit Rigo! Cordoba a Veteran shows How to scare Rigo & Make him run! And Don't tell me Rigo's younger than Donaire!

2 tall guys makes Rigo looks ordinary! Donaire's tall for the division & P4P fighters! Do the math?

Below average power? There is a huge difference in brawling (Donaire style, no real boxing skill) and Boxing (Rigondeaux skill).... Rigondeaux has precise attacks, and leaves as little opening as possible; which is what makes his skill desirable. Donaire is another brawler, with great athleticism but lack of true boxing skills. Which is exactly why Rigondeaux is in my view going to win; his great skill and mix of athleticism.

If Donaire Fans only excuse is a "Possibly" weak chin, then a new point is needed. The fact is he was hurt by a man who was 5'10" and physically more imposing than any of Donaire past opposition. Not as skilled but physically bigger than all of them.
So the fact you hold against him, is an excuse not an convincing argument!
I think u r the weakest analyst here!! Calling Donaire a Brawler, no true boxing skills? Who was hurt again by Tall fighters? And who was the shorter fighter between Rigo & Donaire?

You know what, I've seen 3 youtube fights of Donaire in 2007 before the Darchinyan fight. And I already compared his skills as like Floyds! What surprised me was, He KOed Darchinyan with one Punch! And that's a Bonus!! Here's my original post at ESB in 2007:

vCash: 1000 Default Darchinyan VS Donaire, I smell an Upset...

                    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I like Darchinyan, I like KO artist, I like fighters who fights anybody. I've seen a Bunch of Darchinyan fights. Even rate him top of the 112 & top 15 P4P.

I've seen only about 3 fights of Nonito in youtube. But I met the guy & his Brother Glen personally twice at a Party & we talk a lot about Boxing. He said he beat Jason Litzau in the Amateur. Also they thought that they we're robbed by the Judges when he fought Viloria in the Olympic trials. He is supposed to be lined up against Arce but Arce lost to mijares. That's why I'm not surprised when I heard he got This title shot.

Based on my observation Donaire is very skillfull, quick with his hands & feet, has some Power, full of confidence, very smart, in short he's the Filipino version of PBF. Personality wise this guy are way different than his Brother Glen who is the Shy or low key guy. Nonito, in the Parties that we've been in, is the light of the dancefloor. He dances all night long proves he has an endless stamina. Good dancer too means he has good Hand, eye & feet coordination.

The only question is... can he handle Vic's Power?? I ask his cornermen if he has a good chin, they say he was woobled once but recovered & KO the opponent shortly.

I've seen replay of the dachinyan-Pacheco fight, in this fight Pacheco was outboxing Vic, Then the fireworks interrupt the fight, Vic recovered & KOed Pacheco shortly. Pacheco is one of the tallest fighter Vic has fought.

The reason I smell upset is because Nonito is a Legit 5'6" & a half. he's quicker & he can move. Vic will have a hardtime finding him. Nonito has a lethal left hook & I see them landing everytime Vic tries to attack. I don't think Darchinyan can be KOed, but I see Donaire outboxing him in a lopsided fashion. Kinda like what Mijares did to ARce.
