I think the work with VADA is just part of his efforts to rehabilitate his public image and turn the BALCO notoriety to his advantage.

Heredia's different. That guy was in a documentary just a couple of years ago buying EPO and bragging about his ability to make undetectable steroids. Plus he's operating in Mexico where he's under no threat of investigation at all.
It's very su****ious. If you are going to stay away from dealing banned substances, why get into the one professional sport that is arguably the most corrupt of them all? Where the testing is a joke and the likelihood you would get caught is slim to none? If he was really a born again saint, he wouldn't even be in boxing, he wouldn't even try to get into the limelight again.

He'd be so ashamed, that he'd just open up a small local fitness gym. But nooooo! Instead he's back in business serving allegedly clean drugs instead of illegal drugs to some of boxing's biggest rising stars! It's such a joke, that Conte is a funny one.

Conte is certainly convinced the elite Jamaican track teams are doping. He referred to them in the Joe Rogan Podcast and connected Heredia to them too.

This interview was a real eye opener for me. Seriously gave me a whole new perspective on the whole area.
(In my Leonard Nimoy voice) Fascinating. Thanks for posting that video. I wish I had more time to watch to it. The little I watched was riveting.

I believe that most pro athletes are on some form of "help." It really sucks for the minority that are trying to compete clean, but it's the world be currently live in. Conte, a man that ought to know what he's talking about, appears to agree. I will say this in defense of the Jamaican track team, though: Jamaica has a long history of Olympic success in track and field, particularly the speed events. Granted, they've upped the ante with Bolt and his contemporaries; but they've always been good. You can point fingers at them, but in this day and age, you can point fingers at most anyone.

Conte has embraced the anti-ped crusader role and his connection to VADA is part of that. That's why he won't shut up about it and is fucking constantly talking about it on twitter.
I don't know man. I just find it quite su****ious. Don't you think for a second that, through such an association, he's getting practically first hand knowledge of what takes place in the drug testing? What they test for? What they do not test for? In the Angel Heredia interview, he mentioned that this was one important element to beating the testing system. Angel said he had inside informants.

The worst thing about Lewis is the su****ion that he arranged to have Ben Johnson's drink spiked so he'd fail the post-fight piss test.

But S&C coaches know what testing is available to the labs anyway. Conte had people from the Olympic testing facility working with him when he was in BALCO, literally headhunting guys from the testing labs. What goes on in VADA and USADA isn't a big secret, the people trying to beat the tests already know what they're up against if they're at the level of guys like Heredia or Conte.

I don't think Donaire should be working with Conte by the way. I think Conte's entitled to earn a living but it shouldn't be in that capacity. If the testing framework was better we wouldn't have to be so su****ious but it isn't so we have to be.

Hmmn. You make a good point.

That Carl Lewis thing with ****ing the piss test on Ben is wild stuff by the way. Hadn't heard of that one.

conte knows SO much about f#cking performance enhancing drugs

the testing and the knowledge in the testing bodies will undoubtedly be behind the knowledge possessed behind the people making and distributing the drugs.

"Bigger, Faster, Stronger" was excellent. I never heard about that Lewis rumor, however. Beyond terrible, if true.
