The pellets were slow releasing and got caught by CIR but they were in Petersons system at the time of the test and wouldn't have been detected without the CIR test

Well that's exactly what I'm saying, VADA has way more sensitive procedures like CIR (Carbon Isotope Ratio test) and some others to detect banned substances.

About the nandrolone I also agree that most likely it was a case of contamination, very similar to what happened to Salido some time ago when he tested positive for nandrolone and then took the test again and then tested negative.

This isn't just as simple as delaying a test for a week to be sure that you're not going to test positive.

Yeah, I'm not defending Rigondeaux nor saying that he's clean, the truth is that I don't know, maybe he's using PEDs or maybe he's not but all I'm saying is that some guys here are posting things like if they were experts when the truth is that is not so simple as they seem to think it is.

No expert, but I'm an engineer in biotechnology so I know a few things about biology and pharmaceuticals (especially about biopharmaceuticals and hormones like testosterone) so I know it's a lot more complicated than just "delaying things for a week to clean out your system"

Testing is less effective at catching cheaters the smaller the time period is. It's that simple.

Testing is less effective at catching cheaters the smaller the time period is. It's that simple.

No it's not, some hormones stay in the body for several months after it's been used (well actually traces of that hormone and/or metabolites that were produced as a result of the use of that hormone) ... In that case it doesn't matter if a boxer had 1 week or 2 months of testing, he's going to get caught anyway.

My younger bro is studying the same thing btw. He completed a bachelor in biochemistry or something like that but he wants to add that other bachelor in biotechnology engineering to his resume, he says there's hot jobs for people with these two papers...
