Well the tweet could be just as erroneous as if it was mentioned live - in the interview I heard Matthysse clearly said it was 153 - it wouldn't be the first time that a broadcaster made a mistake with a weight

Here's a quote from the article following the interview:

"The other hot topic was the unofficial weight on fight night. According to the Showtime unofficial scales, he weighed in at 163 lbs, something out of the ordinary for Matthysse, who has weighed between 151 and 153 for his last 3 fights. When the questions was poised for the big re-hydration and if there was any issue with him making the 140 lb Jr. Welterweight limit, Matthysse was surprised and stated, “No I didn’t weigh 163lbs; I weighed 153 lbs on fight night. There’s no trouble making weight. I ate well the day before the weigh in, and I make weight comfortably.”

so the scales were wrong & showtimes spokesman "David Greisman" confirming the 163 weight is wrong?

i agree with you. it's all a conspiracy............

lol.. whoever mentioned conspiracy? It's just a case of human error. When the person who first relayed the Matthysse weight back to the network it must have got miscommunicated as "one sixty three" instead of "one fifty three" or it could have been a typo. These things happen now and again, it wouldn't be the first time in the history of boxing that human error has been responsible for incorrect stats being broadcast!

They want every reason to believe that Matthysse is on PEDs...

                It's kinda sad.

People focus too much on height. I'm about 5ft8 and weigh about 160lb, my brother is 6ft2 and weighs 168lb. Granted he weighs more than me he's a significant amount taller than me. He has a slim build I am stocky. Same **** applies with Broner and Rees the later has a stocky build.

ok so i present this challenge to you............post a link showing that this was indeed human error.

because when the weight is reviewed & then later confirmed by showtimes spokesman David Greisman you have almost zero leg to stand on. Greisman today will tell you that lucas came in at 163 & there was no mistake............

so if we're not talking about facts, what are we talking about?

                    conspiracies?
